Disney's Aladdin on Broadway has created a new 360 video experience. The VR video places the viewer right on stage of Broadway's legendary New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City for an immersive performance of the iconic 'Friend Like Me.'

In honor of International Women's Day, the Broadway League asked 25 leading ladies of Broadway to describe Women in one word. Watch below as strong women of Broadway unite!

Disney's Aladdin will welcome Arielle Jacobs as Jasmine on Broadway beginning Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Jacobs originated the role in the Australian production in 2016 and is the sister of original Broadway star Adam Jacobs, currently leading the North American tour in the title role. Her previous Broadway credits include Wicked and In the Heights.

With a book by Quiara Alegria Hudes and music and lyrics by Hamilton creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, In The Heights features spirited characters, pulsing choreography, and an award-winning Latin hip-hop-infused score. Virginia Rep is remounting the original Broadway design, check out a preview below!

It's a happy day for the Jacobs family! Brother and sister Adam and Arielle Jacobs just surprised their parents with the news that Arielle will be playing Princess Jasmine in the Australian production of Aladdin opening in Sydney this August. Adam, who stars as the title character on Broadway, helped out with an adorable video to reveal the news to their parents, and you can check it out below!

Broadway's Future Songbook Series -- presented by Arts and Artists at St. Paul -- just presented the songs of award-winning lyricist Jill Abramovitz. Produced and hosted by John Znidarsic, the concert featured performances by: Arielle Jacobs (Wicked), Lisa Howard (It Shoulda Been You), Alex Gemignani (Sunday in the Park With George), Jessica Vosk (Fiddler on the Roof), Kate Wetherhead (Clever Little Lies), Kevin Pariseau (Legally Blonde), Dana Steingold, F. Michael Haynie (Dogfight), Michael Winther (33 Variations).

After four previously sold out shows, Broadway's Cinderella, Tony nominee Laura Osnes and music director Benjamin Rauhala returned to host The Broadway Princess Party at Feinstein's/54 Below. The all-star cast sang the most beloved 'Princess' songs of stage and screen in a magical evening. Where else might a little mermaid duet with a beautiful bookworm? Or might an ice queen drink tea with a princess who keeps only dwarves for company? Might the princess with a lost glass slipper confide in a princess who lives in a tower, with the longest of hair? The next installment is on its way, according to a recent tease from Aaron Tveit, and by the sounds of the first notes, we have an idea of what it might be!

Another showmance has blossomed into a true love story on a Broadway stage.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Adam Jacobs, currently starring as Aladdin in Disney's Aladdin on Broadway, just released his debut solo album entitled 'Right Where I Belong,' a compilation of songs by Tony Award® and eight-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, Aladdin). Featured on the album are well known tunes such as 'Proud of Your Boy' (Aladdin), 'Go The Distance' (Hercules), 'Santa Fe' (Newsies), and 'Suddenly Seymour' (Little Shop of Horrors, in duet with Jacobs' sister Arielle Jacobs), as well as other melodies from Menken's earlier works. He just celebrated the release of the album with some of his Broadway friends, and BroadwayWorld was there for the special night. Watch as Adam and friends talk all things Menken below!

Today, Rachel Tucker, currently starring as Elphaba on Broadway, has teased the next installment in the series, 'I'm Not That Girl,' with the full video set to drop when the behind-the-scenes clip gets 1,000 shares on Facebook. BroadwayWorld is excited to bring you an exclusive track from the album- 'Sailing On.' The song was the first that Menken wrote with Dean Pitchford in 1982 for an album that didn't end up happening. Now the song is out of the vaults and you can check out Jacobs' rendition below!
