This week, Storyglass released the first three episodes of their new podcast, What I Love, hosted by former artistic director of the Royal Court, Ian Rickson. In each episode, Rickson speaks with a different artist about three of their cultural treasures – a film, a poem, and a song. The interviews were recorded over the summer, taking place in empty theatres, against the poignant backdrop of their closure due to the coronavirus. Rickson adapts the Desert Island Discs premise, embodying a more therapeutic, creative and almost spiritual version of Kirsty Young, as he strives to see the world through his guest’s eyes.

Critically acclaimed singer / songwriter Jolie Holland will be re-issuing her studio debut Esconidida, as a limited-edition vinyl-only release via her Cinquefoil Records imprint on January 31. Escondida will come as two 45RPM LPs, pressed on 140 gram vinyl for optimum audio quality. The set was remastered by Adam Gonsalves at Telegraph Audio in Portland, Oregon.

Critically acclaimed singer / songwriter Jolie Holland is releasing ESCONDIDA on vinyl for the first time in honor of its 15 year anniversary. Escondida will be pressed on 140 gram double vinyl at 45rpm for optimum audio quality via her own small-imprint label, Cinquefoil Records. Remastered by Adam Gonsalves at Telegraph Audio in Portland, Oregon. She is currently raising funds to finance the re-issue via an album pre-sales campaign and other offerings hosted on her website.
