GOOD GRIEF Begins Previews Tomorrow At Vineyard Theatre

The New York premiere of Ngozi Anyanwu's GOOD GRIEF, directed by Awoye Timpo, will begin performances the Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) on Thursday, October 11.  Opening night is set for Tuesday, October 30th.

Nancy O'Dell Named Grand Marshal of the Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade

The 87th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade, the largest Christmas celebration in America, announces that Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell has been named the Grand Marshal for this year's landmark anniversary event.  Presented and produced by Associated Television International, the live parade which happens in association with The City of Los Angeles, is taped for network television, and will take place on Hollywood Boulevard on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.  The parade's telecast will be hosted by Erik Estrada, Laura McKenzie, Dean Cain and Montel Williams, with special co-hosts Elizabeth Stanton and Garrett Clayton.  The event will include live musical performances (to be announced) that will take place on two stages; featuring The Marine Toys For Tots.

 The 8th annual Catalina Film Festival (CFF) wrapped with awards issued in 14 film categories – selected from 100 films in competition from 67 countries – screened at venues throughout the famed Catalina Island as well as new sister-city-by-the-sea, Long Beach. The annual film festival also featured career tributes, as well as industry panels, workshops and Lion's Den pitch session as part of the festival's Film & New Media Summit.

Catalina Film Fest Celebrates 8th Annual Fest with Long Beach Expansion

Catalina Film Fest (CFF) is excited to announce it will celebrate 8 years of cinema on beautiful Catalina Island by expanding to a new sister city by the sea: Long Beach. The inaugural partnership will connect the island festival experience to the mainland Sept. 26-30, 2018, bookending CFF with 'launch' and 'landing' premieres, parties and panels Wednesday-Thursday and Sunday in Long Beach. Catalina Island will play host to CFF Friday and Saturday, with Festival-chartered party cruises to and from Catalina Classic Cruises' Queen Mary Terminal daily.

The company won TOP OF FRINGE in 2017 along with BEST MUSICAL for their production of SHAKESLESQUE. Their production of Angels Flight won BEST CABARET/VARIETY show in 2016, and this past summer '18 their parody The CRAFTlesque won best Cabaret/Variety, while their production of original musical 'Dr Nympho Vs. The Sex Zombies' written by two time Ovation winner Michael Shaw Fisher won Best Original work, Best Musical, and Broad's World Bechdal-Wallace Award.

MTV, together with Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit Entertainment, today announced that Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee, Grammy Award(R)-winning artist and philanthropist, Mary J. Blige, will appear in MTV's 'Scream' later this year. She joins the previously announced all-star cast including Keke Palmer, Tyler Posey, Tyga, Giorgia Whigham, Jessica Sula, RJ Cyler, C.J. Wallace and Giullian Yao Gioiello. The news comes as the network just closed four consecutive quarters of YoY prime ratings growth - its best streak in seven years- and ranks as the fastest growing network in prime among Top 40 networks across all of television.

On Friday April 6 and Saturday April 7 actress/author/minister Adrienne Barbeau brought An Evening with Adrienne Barbeau: There Are Worse Things I Could Do to the Debbie Reynolds Mainstage Theatre of the El Portal in NoHo. Playwright Brian Christopher Williams, a good personal friend of Barbeau's, moderated the evening. For 95 minutes Barbeau and Williams sat in comfortable chairs onstage and talked about her life which began in California and then moved onto New York and back. Barbeau is still youthful and beautiful at 72 and has such warmth and honesty oozing from every pore that the audience hung on every word. The evening never lagged..The time moved too quickly and an enthusiastic Q and A followed with Barbeau still beaming.
