The Harris Center for the Arts at Folsom Lake College is always adding new shows-always. Since the 2013-14 Season of Performing Arts was announced over the summer, a stunning array of new performances have been added to the mix.

From The Andrews Sisters, The Mills Brothers and The Four Aces to The Beach Boys, The Beatles and The Manhattan Transfer, this fall ON THE RECORD - A Tribute to the Great Vocal Groups of the 20th Century will premiere in New York City with a run beginning on October 19 at 3pm STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street).

Under the Streetlamp, America's hottest new vocal group, performs an electrifying evening of classic hits from the American radio songbook in this special recorded at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, Indiana. Exuding the irresistible rapport of a modern-day Rat Pack, the quartet - recent leading cast members of the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys - deliver an evening of unforgettable entertainment. The special features doo-wop, Motown, old time rock 'n' roll and favorite songs from the Drifters, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, the Four Seasons and many others.

Wells Fargo Center for the Arts welcomes the holiday season in the newly renovated Ruth Finley Person Theater (50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa) with a lineup of celebrated music, comedy, dance and family performances. The 2013-2014 season is well underway and continues with a performance featuring the talents of singer-songwriters Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell with Richard Thompson (November 2), the classic vocals of nine-time Grammy award winner Natalie Cole (November 24) and rounds out 2013 with a celebration of the holiday season, including Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker (December 18 and 19) and The Brian Setzer Orchestra: Christmas Rocks 10th Anniversary Tour! (December 26). Since its reopening in August, after a $2.8 million renovation, the Ruth Finley Person Theater has showcased a variety of talent from Patti LaBelle to Lewis Black to The Beach Boys.

From Executive Producers Morgan Spurlock and John Stamos, LOSING IT WITH JOHN STAMOS takes a hilarious look back at celebrities' first times. With the help of some artistic re-imagining, viewers learn that the entertainers we know and love lived the same awkward, embarrassing years we all did. It's one of my favorite weekends of the year. The weekend I get to spend three days listening to exciting new works as presented by some of the best performers Seattle has to offer. And this year Village Theatre did not disappoint as they invited members, performers, staff and press to partake of their Village Originals 13th Annual Festival of New Musicals. Some good, some maybe not so, some needing a little more work than others but all showing a deep love for the art and presented by some of the best voices in town. Now, I can't review them as they're still works in progress but I can tell you about the shows presented over the weekend and let you know about the one show that while still in development is still running one more weekend and can have tickets purchased to by non-members (that would be you, Dear Readers).
