Pollyanna Theatre Co.'s THE FUNNYBUN FAMILY PICNIC to Open Next Week

Central Texas' most well-known children's theatre company, Pollyanna Theatre in Strategic Alliance with the Long Center, presents The Funnybun Family Picnicby Emily Cicchini at the Rollins Studio Theatre at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, 701 West Riverside, Austin, TX 78704. The show runs from July 13th - 21st with multiple showtimes, and two 'pay what you like' parties with the cast.

UP Comedy Club's summer roster of sketch shows and special events is making UP one of the hottest places for native Chicagoans and visitors alike. UP Comedy Club offers fun for all ages with 'Improv Extravanganza Explosion!' -- a kid-friendly and interactive improvisational experience (through Aug. 8). For the more grown-up crowd, choices include 'Summer in The Second City,' featuring a mix of The Second City's best sketch material from their archives and some hysterical Chicago-style improvisation (through Sept. 1); the ever-popular 'Second City Improv All-Stars' (ongoing);and The Smartest Man in the World Proopcast' featuring Greg Proops of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' coming to UP for one night only (Sept. 4).

It is definitely summertime in the city and the perfect time to head to the Houston Zoo, where there is always something new to see and experience. This summer is no exception! For the first time ever, two of Houston's most prominent nonprofit organizations, The Houston Zoo and Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) have pulled their talents and resources together to bring patrons the best of both worlds in their production of AVENUE ZOO.
