As 2012 comes to a close, many Austin theater companies are putting together their 2013-2014 season. Given the incredible talent in this town and the large number of daring, courageous theater groups in the Austin area, here are my picks for 13 musicals that I'd love to see produced in the 2013-2014 season.

The 14th Annual A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS WITH Rascal Flatts, an entertainment special to be broadcast tonight, Dec. 19 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, will be hosted by best-selling country vocal group Rascal Flatts. It will include moving performances by Rascal Flatts, Rachel Crow, whose performance accompanies her personal story about foster care adoption, Melissa Etheridge, Matchbox Twenty and Phillip Phillips. Wayne Brady, KEVIN FRAZIER and Jillian Michaels are set to present.

I love when sisters, especially sisters in the Kardashian/Jenner clan coordinate their outfits without looking 'matchy-matchy.' Kendall and Kylie Jenner showed up looking as stylish as ever to celebrate the opening of the Karadashian Khaos boutique at The Mirage in Las Vegas.

World-renowned dog behaviorist Cesar Millan is combating the global issue of canine abandonment and giving 'unadoptable' dogs a second chance at life in his new Nat Geo WILD series Cesar Millan's Leader of the Pack, premiering Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.

American Repertory Ballet has announced upcoming events throughout New Jersey this Spring 2013. Based in Princeton, ARB has been consistently designated a "Major Arts Institution" by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts for the past two decades, and, in 2008 and 2011, was voted Jersey Arts' People's Choice for Favorite Dance Company. Presenting innovative choreography to music by such greats as Stravinsky, Prokofiev, and Vivaldi, ARB's upcoming performance season promises to be inspiring.

Art Miami LLC, parent company of Florida's longest running premier contemporary and modern art fair Art Miami, announced that it will add another gem to its crown, the vibrant Aqua Art Miami in Miami Beach, now in its 8th year. Art Miami LLC will take over the operation of the fair at the conclusion of this year's 2012 edition.

Big Head Productions is presenting their third evening of short plays. This collection of plays, some from local artists, all have an office theme. The set is four cubicles, cut to allow the audience to see through them and into the other cubicles. Each cubicle is sprinkled with drawn on post-its and other items of office boredom inspired artwork. On the whole, the evening plays out like a fusion of Mike Judge's Office Space and an episode of Saturday Night Live. Like the skits on Saturday Night Light, some of the plays stand out as stronger works than the others, but all are entertaining.

Chicago Slam Works (CSW) presents 'Dead or Alive Battle Royale of Slam Poetry Supremacy for All Eternity' ('Dead or Alive') today, December 5, 12 and 19, 2012 at the Raven Theatre, 6157 N. Clark St. Directed by Artistic Director J.W. Basilo, 'Dead or Alive' presents some of the greatest poets of history to compete with Chicago's finest modern poets in a mock slam. Performances are at 8 p.m. Tickets are $14 and free parking is available.

In the second season of Lifetime's hit unscripted series, now titled AMERICA'S SUPERNANNY: Family Lockdown, host and child care specialist Tillman will live with families for one week, during which she will experience first-hand the challenges and issues each family confronts 24/7. Lifetime will premiere America's Supernanny: Family Lockdown on Tuesday, January 8, at 10:00pm ET/PT.
