Madeleine Peyroux, a blues and jazz singer often compared to Billie Holiday, will perform live in concert at Gala 2016, Syracuse Stage's major annual fundraiser. The event will take place on Friday, June 10 in Goldstein Auditorium at Syracuse University's Schine Student Center.

Mixing three cups of wisdom for every two cups of matzo meal, singer/songwriter/cantor Shira Ginsburg proudly presents her one-woman musical Bubby's Kitchen. This touching and tuneful production is directed by Schele Williams, with musical direction by Rick Bertone featuring music by Jonathan Comisar and lyrics by Shira Ginsburg and Jonathan Comisar. Based on Lee David Zlotoff's 1996 film of the same name, The Spitfire Grill won the Richard Rodgers Award for New American Musical and was nominated for Best Off-Broadway Musical by the New York Outer Critics Circle and the Drama League.

Guilderland High School's drama club, The Guilderland Players, will open their 47th musical on March 10th with a production of the Tony Award winning hit, 42nd Street. The show, originally appearing on Broadway in 1980, features music by Harry Warren, lyrics by Al Dubin, and a book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble.
