Elements Theatre Company, a non-profit, resident ensemble of 16 artists who present classical and classically-rooted modern works year-round on Cape Cod, presents Speak What We Feel: a summer Acting Shakespeare Retreat on Cape Cod, August 7-12, for actors and Shakespeare enthusiasts.

The New York Musical Festival and Camp Rolling Hills Musical, LLC/ Center Stage Theatre Company's have announced that Sophia Gennusa (Doctor Zhivago, Matilda - Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre), James Ignacio (The King And I), Mitchell Sink (Elf, Matilda, A Christmas Story), and Beatrice Tulchin (Matilda, A Christmas Story) will lead the company of CAMP ROLLING HILLS, a new musical with book and lyrics by Stacy Davidowitz and David Spiegel and music and lyrics by Adam Spiegel and directed by Jill Jaysen.

For the second production in their 45th anniversary season of professional summer theatre, Cortland Repertory Theatre presents the world renowned American musical West Side Story, with a book by Arthur Laurents, based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, and music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Performances of this stirring and exciting show will run from June 22 - July 9 with evening performances at 7:30.

The product of more than 40 years of in-depth research, this work offers important historical insights as well as true human interest stories. A new marketing campaign is all set to promote this book.

Music Mountain, America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, continues its extraordinary 87th Anniversary Season with the inspiring Cassatt String Quartet with guest artist, Colin Carr, cello on Sunday, June 26th (3PM) performing Tchaikowsky and Shubert. Presented by The Barn Stage Company, the 2016 Summer Series opens in July with the Tony Award-winning play, Peter And The Starcatcher! The show runs Thursday-Sunday for three weekends at The Truax Building in Old Town Temecula. This production comes to Temecula for the first time! An Inland Empire Premiere! Peter And The Starcatcher will be directed by J. Scott Lapp, with Movement by Chelsea Nicole and Musical Direction by Leigh Sutherlin.

Buglisi Dance Theatre, celebrating its 23rd anniversary, is proud to present 'Women of Distinction,' a program that celebrates women, June 7-9 at The Ailey Citigroup Theater. The season will see a World Premiere by Buglisi, inspired by the first recorded author/poet, as well as Buglisi masterworksRequiem, Sand, Sospiri, Suite:Solos and Duets, and a special performance by Christine Dakin with pianist Brian Zeger. The Opening Night performance will honor Terese Capucilli, Associate Founding Director and Principal Dancer of Buglisi Dance Theatre, and will include a performance by Graham principal dancer Blakeley White-McGuire of Martha Graham's Deep Song (opening night only).

Things got real big and real ORANGE on Thursday night at Broadway Sessions, as '16 Drama grads and alums for Syracuse University took the stage at Broadway Sessions. Syracuse Alums Chris Dwan (Elliot in Finding Neverland), Catherine Charlebois (long time Nessarose in Wicked) and Stephen Carrasco (Fiddler, Kinky Boots and a zillion other  shows) were on point (as the kids say). Syracuse grad heavy vocal sensation RANGE a cappella took a break from their Nickelodeon duties and racking up Hamilton YouTube views to serenade the new comers. Second Stage Theatre's critically acclaimed musical, DEAR EVAN HANSEN, is currently enjoying a sold out run that comes to an Off-Broadway end on Sunday, May 29th. The show has been rumored for a transfer since it opened to rave reviews, a move confirmed today by the show's lead producer Stacey Mindich, speaking today at a Syracuse University graduation ceremony. 

Jacqulyn Buglisi is honored to stage her 'Table of Silence' on 75 dance majors at the University of California, Santa Barbara, May 23 from 12 noon to 1 PM on the second anniversary of the Isla Vista tragedy, in which six UCSB students were killed.  The commemoration will be an opportunity for the campus community to join together to honor the students lost, in a message of hope, peace and healing. Choreographer Buglisi and UCSB express their deep appreciation to John Arnhold, an alumnus of UCSB and major supporter of the arts, for making this moving event possible.  UCSB musicians will accompany the dancers; the mantels and ceramic plates used in 'Table of Silence', performed annually at New York's Lincoln Center since 2011, will be provided by the New York City-based Buglisi Dance Theatre. The commemoration will be streamed live at www.live.id.ucsb.edu  

Syracuse Stage has announced that Jill A. Anderson has been named the theatre's new managing director.

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.  This Thursday night, May 12th, Broadway Sessions welcomes '16 graduates from the Drama Department at Syracuse University alongside notable Syracuse alums.
