Told largely through Williams' own words, the film celebrates what he brought to comedy and to the culture at large, from the wild days of late-1970s L.A. to his death in 2014. America's comedy giants continue to bring the laughs to Parx Casino, Pennsylvania's #1 casino, this spring and summer. The casino's brand-new Xcite Center is set to welcome five wildly popular comedians from television and film. The casino welcomes Colin Mochrie & Brad Sherwood from Whose Line Is it Anyway on Friday, May 4, 2018. Next up, SNL alum, FOX News contributor, and noted comedian Dennis Miller will perform on Thursday, May 17th and NBC's Community star Joel McHale takes the mic on Friday, June 1th. In the heat of the summer, Comedy Central superstar Trevor Noah of the Daily Show comes to the Xcite Center for two shows on Saturday, August 4th. On May 14th, 2018, actor and comedian Jon Glaser (Late Night with Conan O'Brien, truTV's Jon Glaser Loves Gear) will host a star-studded gala, celebrating the Obie-Award winning theater ensemble, Elevator Repair Service. Under the direction of founding Artistic Director John Collins, Elevator Repair Service is known for creating original works of theater with an ongoing ensemble of actors and designers. Gatz, their verbatim staging of "The Great Gatsby," was called "the most remarkable achievement in theater of this decade" by The New York Times.

Originating from the 2013 collaborative album by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell titled Love Has Come for You, Bright Star tells a sweeping tale of love and redemption set against the rich backdrop in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina in the 1920s and '40s. The musical was inspired by the true story of a five-day-old baby who fell approximately 50 feet from a train into Big River in Irondale, Missouri on August 14th, 1902.

After 18 years of hosting some of music and entertainment's most revered names, B.B. King Blues Club & Grill has announced its final run of shows in its current Times Square location (237 W 42nd St). Due to escalating rent, the historic venue and supper club is forced to close its doors with a final performance on April 29, 2018. B.B. King Blues Club is in the process of selecting a new location in Manhattan to relocate the venue.

In a brief engagement at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester, Mass. (which ended this Sunday), the national tour of Steve Martin and Edie Brickell's southern musical BRIGHT STAR flickers between down-home country charm and maudlin storytelling. Strong performances and a kickin' on-stage bluegrass band, though, manage to knock off the tarnish of this tepid tale of hope and redemption to deliver an uplifting message in the end.
