All of GTG's programming, inspired by the works of George Bernard Shaw, are designed to provoke peaceful discussion and activism. Just last night, June 24, SubCulture and Jason Robert Brown presented an evening of songs and stories at Town Hall. This was the 50th performance of SubCulture's Artist-in-Residence series, which will feature brand new arrangements with an orchestra of New York's finest musicians. Featured in the special evening were Shoshana Bean (Waitress), Joshua Henry (Carousel), and Rob McClure (Beetlejuice), Katrina Lenk (The Band's Visit) and Stephen Sondheim.

Northern Stage announces its 2019-20 Season, a season of plays that thematically reflect on the past to move into a more positive future. The company's 23rd Season will feature two world premieres by women writers, non-traditional casting in classic plays, and an overall season more diverse and reflective of the world. "Northern Stage continues to evolve from a local theater with a regional impact to a regional theater with a national impact," says Northern Stage Producing Artistic Director and Director of the BOLD Theater Women's Leadership Circle Carol Dunne.
