For the tenth consecutive year, Broadway Dreams will partner with the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts for the return of their annual Summer Intensive, August 4 - August 12, 2018. Lead by an all-star roster of Broadway's brightest stars and industry professionals, Philadelphia's rising stars will participate in a week-long intensive focusing on acting, vocal performance and dance. The week will culminate in two public performances of THE HITS: Reimagined, a unique Broadway-style cabaret featuring Philadelphia-area students performing alongside their Broadway idols.

The performances take place Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the Kimmel Center's Perelman Theater.

Acclaimed singer/actor Alan Cumming returns to Cafe Carlyle with an all-new show, Legal Immigrant, June 19-30. Alan Cumming has been described by Time Magazine as one of the most fun people in show business, by The New York Times as a 'bawdy, countercultural sprite' and by The New York Observer as a 'frolicky pansexual sex symbol for the new millennium.' NBC Shares Primetime Schedule for 6/18-7/15

Philadelphia, get ready to spice up your life! East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District, South Fellini and Make Music Philadelphia will host a Spice Girls Pop-Up Choir this Thursday, June 21, 2018 during Make Music Day. The general public is invited to channel their best Scary Spice, Sporty Spice, Baby Spice, Ginger Spice and Posh Spice during the free event that will take place at the historic Singing Fountain (at the intersection of 11th Street and East Passyunk).  From 7:00pm to 8:00pm, participants will engage in a brief rehearsal led by local singer-songwriter and certified music therapist Carolyn Thorn, followed by a public performance and recording of the night. No experience is necessary - just a love of singing. Participation is free and open to all ages.
