TOSOS (The Other Side of Silence), New York City's Oldest LGBTQ Theatre celebrated their upcoming 2017-2018 season with a benefit at The Norwood Club in Chelsea, on September 14. Check out photos from the evening below!

Doric Wilson's award-winning satire, STREET THEATER about the evening of the Stonewall riots, returns to the Eagle Bar for a limited run September 20 - October 4. The production is produced by TOSOS (The Other Side of Silence), New York City's Oldest LGBTQ Theatre and is the first play of their 2017-18 Season. TOSOS Artistic Director, Mark Finley directs. The production won the New York Innovative Theater Award in 2016 for Outstanding Revival.

MAMMA MIA! officially ended it's farewell tour this past weekend, and it was interesting to see the audience reaction to a show I've seen at least six times. But, I'm a critic. The appeal is obvious really, it's a simple story (book by Catherine Johnson) that allows you to enjoy the undeniably catchy Swedish pop of ABBA (music and lyrics of Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, and Stig Anderson). With the length of time that it's been touring, nationally and internationally, there's no doubt that generations will grow up knowing and loving this music, which, at the time, seemed like a passing fad back in the 1970's and 80's, although I'm not ashamed to admit I own their greatest hits vol. 1 and 2, most of which shows up in the score. The touring show that graced the stage of the Fox Theatre this past weekend (July 28-30) put on a splendid production, as engaging and charming as we've come to expect, and brimming with enough good humor to please everyone.

For two nights only, the 'Farewell Tour' of MAMMA MIA brings the beloved jukebox musical back to Richmond. The Altria Theater is the second to last stop on the 10-month 'final' American tour for this crowd-pleasing production.

Thanks to the comedic timing and moving performances of three actors, the ABBA musical Mamma Mia!,now playing at Kentucky Center, features enough to keep audiences entertained, whether they are into ABBA, or not.

If you are in need of a pick-me-up or a fun night out, pack a picnic and head to Wolf Trap for a trip down the aisle you'll never forget.

Combining ABBA's greatest hits, including 'Dancing Queen,' 'S.O.S' 'Super Trouper,' 'Take a Chance on Me' and 'The Winner Takes It All,' with an enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship Catherine Johnson has crafted a plot to expertly string together these more than 20 songs (written by Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Stig Andersson) in a show that is in the top ten longest running Broadway shows list. This production serves up both the bouncy electronic music that is familiar, with mother-vs. -daughter story about contrasting views of what constitutes a family.

After 15 unforgettable years of entertaining audiences across North America, the national tour of MAMMA MIA! says farewell to the road next month. Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' smash-hit musical MAMMA MIA! returns to Starlight Theatre for one weekend only - Friday, June 23 through Sunday, June 25.

After 15 years on the road, the national touring production of MAMMIA MIA! will play its final performances at the Fabulous Fox in St Louis July 28 - 30.

Say goodbye to Mamma Mia, because after this weekend, it's slipping through our fingers after all. (We'll see.) Grab your girlfriends, a glass of wine, and your platform shoes because you don't want to miss out on the fun of belting out your favorite hits like 'Dancing Queen' and, of course, 'Mamma Mia.'

Theatre Now New York presented its 4th Annual festival of new musicals, Sound Bites 4.0 (sponsored by Music Theatre International and Disney Theatrical Productions) to a sold-out house at the Perishing Square Signature Theatre. An after-party was held in the theatre lobby where awards were given. Sound Bites showcases ten 10-minute musicals or musical excerpts in one evening.

Broadway Across America - Ft. Lauderdale presents the Farewell Tour of the smash hit musical Mamma Mia! at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. 20 year old Sophie is planning to marry, and wants her father to be present to give her away. Unfortunately, she does not know who her father is. After reading her mother's diary, she concludes he is one of three men, so she invites all of them to her wedding, on the Greek Island on which she lives with her still single mother, in the hopes of sorting it out.

MAMMA MIA! opened at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center on May 12 and will continue to play through May 14. It is an effervescent, energizing and spirited show that is nothing short of delightful.

When the Broadway stage introduced an exuberant rendition of the song "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning" during the opening moments of "Oklahoma!," audiences saw a new form of musical theater unfolding. As the first musical to fully integrate songs and dances into a well-made story, it forever changed the structure of musical theater.

Peninsula Players Theatre will present a play reading of Joseph Zettelmaier's "Salvage" on Monday, March 6 at 7 p.m. at Bjorklunden, 7590 Boynton Lane, Baileys Harbor. 

Mamma Mia is not Les Miserables, but it's loads of fun, and who cares, because: Abba!
