Michael Arden to Perform Joni Mitchell's 'Blue' At Joe's Pub 10/28-30

In the tradition of Rufus Wainwright's Judy Garland Carnegie Hall concert, and Leslie Kritzer as Patti Lupone at Les Mouches, Joe's Pub is thrilled to present Michael Arden covering Joni Mitchell's seminal album 'Blue' in it's entirety, with new arrangements by Todd Almond. When 'Blue' was released in June, 1971 it was hailed as instant classic, critically and commercially, a potent culmination of her career. The record expressed her depressed assessments of the world balanced by notions of exuberant romantic love. Hit songs include'River', 'All I Want', 'A Case of You' and many more.

Producer Robert Greenblatt announced today that 9 To 5: The Musical, based on the 20th Century Fox motion picture, will begin previews on Broadway Tuesday, March 24, 2009, and will open Thursday, April 23, 2009, at the Marriott Marquis Theatre (1535 Broadway). 9 To 5: The Musical marks the Broadway debut of seven-time Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter and musician Dolly Parton as composer and lyricist.
