MPTheatricals are working in collaboration with The Other Palace to present on hope: a digital song cycle - a live, one of a kind musical theatre trilogy exploring the many shades of hope. Written by over 60 composers from around the world, on hope: a digital song cycle explores the spectrum of sounds, experiences and perspectives of hope.

Honeck-Moss Productions will present a?oeIn The Works.a?? This exciting series is an opportunity for composers to try out new work in front of an audience and see how it plays in a supportive environment. It is also an opportunity to create community among the composers and their performers.

Pacific Opera has been announced as a recipient of Create NSW $94,000 annual funding in 2020 for their core Young Artist Program.

In The Works is be presented monthly and feature three composers or composer teams, each presenting about 20 minutes of new material. This month features the works of composers: Seth Christenfeld, Sophie Danis Oberfield & Fernanda Douglas, and Kyle Segar & David Kornfeld. Special Guest: Amy Engelhardt. Hosted by: Thomas Honeck.

Lovers of new theatre will gather this August for an advance look at tomorrow's hits at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's 2019 New Works Festival at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. This unique festival offers audiences an extraordinary opportunity to experience new plays and musicals in their early stages of development, and hear about the creative process in a "Meet the Artists" panel discussion. With multiple performances of each work, playwrights and composers are able to revise and refine their shows during the festival, allowing audiences to view the exciting evolution of brand new pieces of theatre. The classic French farce "A Flea in Her Ear" at the Westport Country Playhouse and a nostalgic revival of "The Music Man" at Goodspeed Musicals took top honors at the Monday, June 3rd Connecticut Critics Circle Awards.

These words from Sarah Hartmann, the director of Playhouse on Park's current production of THE REVOLUTIONISTS perfectly illustrate the heart of Lauren Gunderson's play. By telling the stories of four iconic women who were brave enough to stand up during the Reign of Terror, one of the darkest moments in history, and fight for freedom and equality, THE REVOLUTIONISTS informs, excites, entertains, and most importantly, inspires.

Playhouse on Park has cast Lauren Gunderson's The Revolutionists, a grand and dream-tweaked comedy about art and activism, feminism and terrorism, violence and legacy, and changing the world. This provocative play runs February 20-March 10; opening night, including a complimentary wine and cheese reception, is set for February 22.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin performances of the MOBILE UNIT NATIONAL TOUR of Lynn Nottage's powerful Pulitzer Prize-winning play, SWEAT, directed by Kate Whoriskey, on September 27 in Erie, Pennsylvania.

It features some of opera's greatest arias and duets, with lyrics rewritten to hold a satirical mirror up to our own Millennial generation. This snarky, smart-ass show is performed by some of Sydney's best young opera singers. It is part of the 2018 Sydney Fringe Festival, with shows at 8:30 pm on 6, 8 and 9 September at The Newsagency in Camperdown.
