Netflix has entered into a multi-year overall television deal with Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy.  Following the success of The Haunting of Hill House, Flanagan and Macy will develop and produce new series exclusively for Netflix,  including an all-new chapter in The Haunting anthology, with the next installment chronicling a new story with all new characters.

Deadline reports that actor David Dastmalchian, known for The Dark Knight, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Netflix's Bird Box, will play Piter De Vries in Dune, Legendary's film adaptation of Frank Herbert's bestselling novel directef by Denis Villeneuve. Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin already are involved with Jason Momoa and Zendaya in talks for key roles.

While on the red carpet at the 2019 Brit Awards, Hugh Jackman was asked about the prospect of a sequel to the hit film, The Greatest Showman. He told BBC Entertainment, "For an actor I'm a bad liar... I have heard talk about it. But I don't know."
