Smith Street Stage will present its first full-length off-Broadway show in September with Lear's Shadow, an original adaptation by Ms. Hopkins of Shakespeare's King Lear. Directed by Beth Ann Hopkins with original music by Elliot Roth, Lear's Shadow will perform September 5th through 22nd at the Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theater at the A.R.T./New York Theatres on West 53rd St.

 In April of 2017 at Wild Project in the East Village, a revival of James McLure's Lone Star, by NINE Theatricals, took the stage in New York City for only the second time since it's Broadway debut in 1979. The production was met with tremendous feedback and glowing reviews from New York City critics and audiences who had not before seen this lesser known work. With a demand for more shows, producers moved Lone Star, in May, to The Triad Theatre for a limited Off Broadway contract run.

The NOLA Project theatre company is proud to announce the four newest members of our prestigious ensemble. Joining the current roster are 2015 inductees Sarah Chatelain, Kali Russell, Ashley Ricord Santos, and Michael Aaron Santos.
