Actors Co-op announces its second show in its 2014-2015 season (and 23rd year of producing theatrical excellence in Los Angeles!) with THE DIVINERS, written by Jim Leonard, Jr. and directed by Mark Henderson. THE DIVINERS will preview on Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 16 at 8pm and will open on Friday, October 17 at 8pm and run through Sunday, November 23 at the Actors Co-op David Schall Theatre, 1760 N. NEW YORK, March 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Dusty Film & Animation Festival, May 10-13, 2014, announced today by Reeves Lehmann, chair of the BFA Film and Video and BFA Animation departments at the School of Visual Arts, New York City, and Annie Flocco, festival producer, SVA faculty member and independent film producer. 'We invite all film lovers to help celebrate this milestone as a testament to the hard work and dedication of hundreds of young filmmakers,' said Lehmann. 'We are proud to showcase the true commitment and remarkable talent of so many artists with this anniversary of the Dustys,' added Flocco. To mark the 25th anniversary, the festival culminates with SVA's Annual Dusty Awards invite-only ceremony, held on Tuesday, May 13, at the SVA Theatre (333 West 23rd Street) in New York City. The Dusty Film & Animation Festival was established and named after SVA Founder Silas 'Dusty' H. Obie and Drama Desk Award winner Frederick Weller and Tony® Award nominee Bobby Steggert will join Tony® and Emmy® Award winner Tyne Daly in the upcoming Broadway production of Terrence McNally's Mothers and Sons, it was announced today. Weller will portray Cal Porter opposite Daly's Katharine Gerard. Steggert, currently seen on Broadway in Big Fish, reprises the role of Will Ogden which he created in an earlier production of the play at Bucks County Playhouse. Mothers and Sons marks Mr. McNally's 20th Broadway show, and will be directed by Tony nominee Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall). It will play Broadway's John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). Preview performances have been set to begin Sunday, February 23, 2014, and the opening night has been announced for Monday, March 24, 2014.
