Kaufman's Pulitzer Prize-winning play You Can't Take It With begins previews on August 26, 2014, at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street), with an opening night set for September 28, 2014. Producers of the upcoming Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's Pulitzer Prize-winning play You Can't Take It With You and The Humane Society of New York are pleased to announce a new partnership to support the adoption of kittens that will be used in the show. Producers of the upcoming Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's Pulitzer Prize-winning play You Can't Take It With You announce more cast members for the production which begins rehearsals on Monday, July 21st. The cast will include: Will Brill (Act One) as Ed Carmichael, Fran Kranz (Death of a Salesman) as Tony Kirby, Johanna Day (August: Osage County) as Mrs. Kirby, Nick Corley (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Austin Durant (War Horse) and Joe Tapper (Witnessed By The World, 59 E 59) as the three G-Men as well as Barrett Doss, Ned Noyes, Pippa Pearthree as understudies. New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, this summer celebrating the 30th year of their Powerhouse Theater collaboration, announced that Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Kyra Sedgwick will lead the cast of Academy Award and Tony Award winner John Patrick Shanley's new play The Danish Widow, which will premiere July 16-27, 2014 at Hallie Flanagan-Davis Powerhouse Theater at Vassar College. Shanley also directs the cast which also includes multitalented Broadway vets Craig Bierko and Matt McGrath, as well as stage and screen actress Annika Boras. (more...)

New York Stage and Film (Johanna Pfaelzer, Artistic Director; Thomas Pearson, Executive Director; Mark Linn-Baker, Max Mayer, Leslie Urdang, Producing Directors) and Vassar College (Ed Cheetham, Producing Director) recently announced the line-up of their 2013 Powerhouse Theater Season, which runs fromJune 21st - July 28th at Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, New York). The 2013 season will include fully staged productions of new plays by Seth Zvi Rosenfeld andMozhan Marno, as well as two exciting musical workshops: the Steve Martin & Edie Brickell collaboration Bright Star (featuring music from their newly released recording "Love Has Come For You"), directed by Tony Award-winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago); and A new musical inspired by The Brooklyn Hero Supply Company, music and lyrics by Peter Lerman, book by Simon Rich, based on characters created by Pulitzer Prize winning novelist Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman, directed by Tony Award-winner Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening).
