New Repertory Theatre announces the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Steven Dietz' dark comedy RANCHO MIRAGE, tonight, October 12 through November 3, 2013. Directed by Robert Walsh, RANCHO MIRAGE performs in the Charles Mosesian Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street, in Watertown, MA. Annie Leibovitz: Pilgrimage charts a new direction for one of America's best-known living artists. Unlike her staged and carefully lit portraits made on assignment for magazines and advertising clients, these photographs were taken simply because Leibovitz was moved by the subject. The exhibition, including 78 photographs, taken between April 2009 and May 2011, will be on view at the Columbia Museum of Art October 4, 2013 through January 5, 2014. The CMA is the only exhibition presentation in the Southeast. Annie Leibovitz: Pilgrimage is an evocative and deeply personal statement by a photographer, whose career now spans more than 40 years, encompassing a broad range of subject matter, history and stylistic influences. The work shows Leibovitz at the height of her powers and pondering how photographs, including her own, shape a narrative of history that informs the present.

Now on stage at Avon Players is the musical adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women, a parable of the ideal family in Civil War era Boston. The musical follows the book fairly closely, so if you are familiar with the book, you know the play. Little Women was one of the first books that many girls read as a child and has always held a special place in their hearts.

Avon Players Community Theatre announced its 2013-2014 season on Saturday night at its Gala Dinner; the series comprises five productions and summer youth theatre. After a lavish buffet of home-made dishes, guests gathered in the theatre at beautifully decorated tables highlighted by glowing paper lanterns revealing logos from upcoming shows.

Inspired by Rat Pack-era Vegas, this production brings together the talents of CSC's Artistic Director Steve Maler, music director Colin Thurmond and choreographer Yo-el Cassel. The Round Barn Theatre has announced its next year's season three months earlier than ever before.
