A unique exhibition celebrating the centennial of Fruitlands Museum, 100 Objects, 100 Stories, 100 Years at Fruitlands Museum, will be on view in the Art Gallery and around the campus, September 6, 2014 through March 29, 2015. The exhibit will highlight not only the one hundred most popular objects in the museum's diverse collections, but also the important role that Fruitlands has played in the community during the last one hundred years. Each of the museum's five collections – the Land, the Shakers, the Transcendentalists, the Native Americans, and American Art – will be represented in this first-ever publically curated Fruitlands exhibit.

Combined Artform and Matthew Quinn present the return of "WOMEN" - with an official opening of September 5th. After a sold-out run in New York City and the Hollywood Fringe Festival, WOMEN, written by Chiara Atik and directed by Stephanie Ward, is returning to Los Angeles for a full run at the Asylum Theater, August 28th through October 25th.

Theatre Aspen Opens Sandy Rustin's THE COTTAGE Tonight, 7/24

Award-winning Theatre Aspen opens the final show of the theatre's summer repertory season on July 24th, with the regional premiere of the brand new comedy The Cottage, by Sandy Rustin, running in rep with The Full Monty and Little Women. The playwright has been in residence to work on the show before the opening performance, with a cast of Broadway veterans including Nancy Anderson, Michele Ragusa, Mark Price, Michael Kostroff, Bailey Frankenberg and Spencer Plachy.

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces an extension of In the Garden: A Darwinian Love Story, the World-Premiere production by Artistic Associate Sara Gmitter and directed by Jessica Thebus. Theatre Aspen announced the launch of a new play development series today, with the early workshopping of Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater musical Alice By Heart, based on the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Sheik and Sater are best known for their 2007 rock musical Spring Awakening which won eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score.
