The best-selling author and host of A Prairie Home Companion Garrison Keillor will make an appearance at the Gallo Center for the Arts on Tuesday, March 6 at 7:00 PM.

Deadline.comreports that actress Sara Rue will join the cast of the upcoming ABC comedy pilot MALIBU COUNTRY. Rue will join previously announced cast members Reba McEntire and Lily Tomlin.

The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center presents the first Los Angeles production in 20 years of Ira Levin's classic comedy-thriller, Deathtrap. One of the longest-running plays in Broadway history, the Tony Award Best Play nominee comes to the Center's Davidson/Valentini Theatre for a six-week run. Two preview performances, March 28 and 29, precede the official opening night on Friday, March 30. Net proceeds from the play will benefit the entire array of the Center's free and low-cost programs and services.

Seattle Repertory Theatre has announced the first three titles confirmed for its upcoming 50th Anniversary season, which runs September 2012-May 2013. The theatre will produce Seattle playwright Cheryl L. West's new work Pullman Porter Blues, the Tennessee Williams classic The Glass Menagerie in an intimate and imaginative new staging, and will partner with Seattle Theatre Group to present the Broadway hit War Horse.

9 To 5: The Musical will open for business at the St. Jacobs County Playhouse March 7th through March 25th. Based on the classic motion picture, this story of friendship, female empowerment, and revenge in the Rolodex era features the blockbuster title song, plus a score of 18 original numbers penned by music icon and film star, Dolly Parton.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles, Orange County and Ventura County theatre for the year 2011.
