Eddie Edwards has been mimicking and impersonating celebrity actors with uncanny precision ever since the 1970s. His skill as a vocalist and makeup artist eventually landed him a spot in La Cage aux Folles, where he performed and sang for many years as Ms Midler, Barbra Streisand, and Cher.
For Legendary Divas, Edwards brings five members of the cast of La Cage to Stoneham, along with six Las Vegas dancers. The show runs from Thursday, March 22 through Sunday, March 25.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle's 43rd Annual Awards Show will take place on Monday, March 19, 2012 at A Noise Within in Pasadena. The show will feature performances from previously-announced hosts Jason Graae (recipient of the 2007 Joel Hirschhorn Award for outstanding achievement in musical theatre) and Lesli Margherita (nominee for Kiss Me, Kate). In addition, the Awards show will feature the Los Angeles premiere performance of My Husband, by Paul Rudnick, a short play added to the New York production of Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays. Also, Yvette Tucker and Salvatore Vasallo will perform an excerpt from "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue," from On Your Toes, choreographed by this year's Hirschhorn Award recipient, Lee Martino.

The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center presents the first Los Angeles production in 20 years of Ira Levin's classic comedy-thriller, Deathtrap. One of the longest-running plays in Broadway history, the Tony Award Best Play nominee comes to the Center's Davidson/Valentini Theatre for a six-week run. Two preview performances, March 28 and 29, precede the official opening night on Friday, March 30. Net proceeds from the play will benefit the entire array of the Center's free and low-cost programs and services.

Seattle Repertory Theatre has announced the first three titles confirmed for its upcoming 50th Anniversary season, which runs September 2012-May 2013. The theatre will produce Seattle playwright Cheryl L. West's new work Pullman Porter Blues, the Tennessee Williams classic The Glass Menagerie in an intimate and imaginative new staging, and will partner with Seattle Theatre Group to present the Broadway hit War Horse.
