Regional Theatre Tony Award Recipient Dallas Theater Center has announced a new film adaptation, In the Bleak Midwinter: A Christmas Carol for Our Time, that sets the classic Christmas novel in a modern setting.

Dallas Theater Center has announced its 2020-2021 season comprised of six unique theatrical productions and films. The theater returns to producing with a blended season that includes virtual productions, and two live immersive theater experiences and a return to the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre with three theater productions for live audiences.

People of all ages and skill levels can learn from professional artists. Workshops started October 12 and run through November 16.

It was just two hours to curtain of Dallas Theater Center's production of IN THE HEIGHTS when production finds out an actor is injured and the production will be unable to perform that evening as they need to see a doctor. (The actor who was injured has not been named by the company.)

Dallas Theater Center announced today that the part of Ann Richards in ANN will be played by Libby Villari. Currently portraying Ann in a production of ANN at The ZACH Theatre in Austin, Texas, Villari is receiving rave reviews. The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Artistic Director) opened its applications today for the 2020 Drama League Directors Project, which offer unique Fellowship and Residency opportunities for professional stage directors at all levels of experience to advance their artistry, learn new skills, develop and present new work, and propel their careers. The only program of its kind in the nation, the deadline for completed applications is 11:59pm US EDT on Monday, February 3, 2020.
