Dallas Theater Center's take on the Bard's beloved comedy pulls audiences into a raucous party that is every bit as moving as it is uproariously funny.

After the record breaking success of WAM Theatre's fall 2018 production of ANN by Holland Taylor, WAM is thrilled to announce that Arena Stage in Washington, DC, and Dallas Theatre Center are presenting a new co-production of ANN in July and October of this year. WAM's Artistic Director, Kristen van Ginhoven, will again direct the production, and Jayne Atkinson returns to star in the title role.

2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award recipient Dallas Theater Center announces titles for the 2019-2020 season, including In the Heights,  Lin-Manuel Miranda's family-favorite musical; ANN, a no-holds-barred portrait of Ann Richards, the legendary governor of Texas; Little Women, a celebrated new adaptation by Kate Hamill of the beloved classic book; American Mariachi, the feel-good comedy filled with infectious music; Pipeline, a powerful drama about the state of American education; and The Supreme Leader, a world premiere fictionalized coming-of-age comedy about Kim Jong-Un. Productions will take place at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre at the AT&T Performing Arts Center and at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. Dallas Children's Theater and the Baker Idea Institute convene local and national artists and residents for a new documentary, conversations, presentations and art exhibit on the legacy of Dr. Paul Baker, March 29 and March 30 at Dallas Children's Theater, 5938 Skillman St., 75231, and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, 2501 Flora St., 75201.

The Drama League opened its applications today for the 2019 Directors Project Fellowship Programs, which offer unique opportunities for early and mid-career stage directors to advance their artistry, learn new skills, stage new work, and develop their careers.  The only program of its kind in the nation, it boasts 12 different fellowships, including a new initiative in community-based theater and a new immersion in the development of new musicals.  The deadline for completed applications is 12:00 p.m. (US EST) on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

TUTS' OKLAHOMA is now on stage through September 23rd! Priscilla Lopez stars as 'Aunt Eller' in the production and is joined by Sam Simahk as 'Curly,' Olivia Hernandez as 'Laurey,' Madeline Hamlet as 'Ado Annie,' Logan Keslar as 'Ike Skidmore', Hassan Nazari-Robati as 'Ali Hakim,' Christopher Campbell as 'Will Parker,' Eric Ulloa as 'Jud Fry,' David Sitler as 'Andrew Carnes,' and Dewey Caddell as 'Cord Elam.'

In the theatre world, your first time seeing Rodgers & Hammerstein's OKLAHOMA! is essentially a rite of passage. Ever since I sat in my Survey of Musical Theatre class freshman year, watching the 1999 film of Oklahoma! , I've been waiting to see a live production. Whether you are an Oklahoma addict or have never heard of the show before, do your soul a favor and experience this joyful, unreplicable production.

TUTS' production of Oklahoma! will be directed by Dallas Theater Center's Artistic Director, Kevin Moriarty. The production, which is an artistic collaboration with Houston Ballet, will be choreographed by Stanton Welch AM, Artistic Director of Houston Ballet. Broadway conductor Kimberly Grigsby will be Musical Director of the show. Joining them on the production are Andrew Harper as Sound Designer, Jason Lyons as Lighting Designer, and Karen Perry as Costume Design. Casting for Oklahoma! was provided by Paul Hardt of Stewart/Whitley.

Tony Award winner Priscilla Lopez will lead the cast in the role of 'Aunt Eller' in Theatre Under The Stars' (TUTS) production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, the first show in the musical theatre company's 50th Anniversary Season.

Lincoln Center Theater will again open its doors for the 24th annual LCT Directors Lab, a three-week developmental program for nurturing young professional stage directors from across the country and around the world. This year's lab will take place from August 6-25.

2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award Recipient Dallas Theater Center announced that Sarahbeth Grossman will be joining the theater as the full-time Artistic Producer. The producer is a key member of the artistic staff at Dallas Theater Center, overseeing the day-to-day producing of Dallas Theater Center's productions and working collaboratively within the organization and community to achieve both short?term and long?range artistic and institutional goals. An independent Tony Award-nominated producer, Grossman comes from New York City where she has over a dozen theater credits on Broadway, Off-Broadway, national tours, and in the West End.

The Public Theater has announced complete casting for the Shakespeare in the Park production of TWELFTH NIGHT.
