CMT Caps Off Summer of Music with CMT CROSSROADS Collaboration Featuring Meghan Trainor and Brett Eldredge Premiering 9/3

CMT closes out its summer of electrifying music with the announcement of an all-new “Crossroads” mashup featuring multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning pop superstar Meghan Trainor and platinum selling singer/songwriter Brett Eldredgepremiering Monday, September 3 at 10 PM ET/PT.

Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson is filming a pilot for a syndicated daytime talk show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A network is not yet attached but the project is being eyed for a fall 2019 debut via producers NBCUniversal Television Distribution.

From YouTube, 222 Productions and Renegade 83 comes the official trailer for the YouTube Original series Sugar, a new series featuring some of music's biggest artists where they surprise their most inspiring fans who have given back to their communities in empowering ways.

Singer-songwriter, actress and producer Rita Wilson makes her return to Cafe Carlyle, October 16-20 with Rita Wilson: Liner Notes. Stephen Holden of The New York Times wrote of her debut residency: '[If you] closed your eyes at certain moments you could imagine you were cruising down a Southern California highway in the early 1970s. Sandwiched between the music of Joni Mitchell and Jackson Browne on the car radio was a promising new voice whose sound fit right in with theirs.' Rita Wilson's forthcoming residency will go 'behind the music' to discover stories leading to songs that have become the soundtrack to so many lives. The performances will include friends who just happen to have written some of the most memorable songs of this century and last - for fascinating revelations about how their creations came to be.

You oughta know that Broadway Sings Alanis has just added more stars to its lineup! Diana Degarmo (Hair), Alysha Deslorieux (Hamilton), Derek Klena (Anastasia), and Wesley Taylor (SpongeBob SquarePants) will join the lineup for the next installment of the acclaimed Broadway Sings concert series, Broadway Sings Alanis Morissette. Cast members from Broadway shows including Pretty Woman, Dear Evan Hansen, Once on this Island, and Waitress will sing completely new arrangements of the hits of the pop superstar, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations of her music.

 iHeartMedia announced today that Leon Bridges, MAX, Badflower, The Vamps, Drax Project and FOX The Four's Season 1 winner Evvie McKinney, have been added to the lineup for the Daytime Stage at the 2018 iHeartRadioMusic Festival onSaturday, September 22. The Daytime Stage will take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds and in addition to live performances from today's emerging artists, the event will also feature fan zones and interactive experiences by iHeartRadio's brand partners.

Producer Michael Barra, who most recently served as President of Media & Entertainment at Broadway's The Araca Group (and was previously an exec at Disney), announces the official launch of Lively McCabe Entertainment. Co-founded with Katie Dietz, Lively McCabe Entertainment is an independent production company that will allow Barra to continue as a packager and producer of media intellectual properties for the live stage, as well as television series, films, digital media, and book publishing. Lively McCabe has now signed with Abrams Artists Agency, and will work closely with their Literary departments in Los Angeles and New York to package projects built around existing high profile Hollywood IP to which the company has secured rights. Lively McCabe and Mr. Barra are also represented by Adam Cooper at Jackoway Tyerman.

YouTube Original series Sugar, Executive Produced by global superstar Adam Levine, will launch on YouTube Premium on August 15, 2018. Special guest talent includes Maroon 5, Blake Shelton, Snoop Dogg, Charlie Puth, Kelly Clarkson, A$AP Ferg, 5th Harmony and Bad Bunny. The new series is inspired by the Maroon 5 music video 'Sugar' that boasts 2.5 billion views from around the world.

iHeartMedia announced today that Childish Gambino has been added to the iconic lineup for the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival on Friday, September 21. The legendary concert event which creates radio history year after year through powerful and unforgettable performances will take place on September 21 and 22 at Las Vegas' hottest entertainment venue, T-Mobile Arena.

The one-night-only concert will feature completely new arrangements of the hits of the iconic multi-instrumentalist, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations of her music.

American Authors and Brandon Victor Dixon join the incredible slate of performers for NBC's annual "Macy's 4th of JulyFireworks® Spectacular," which airs Wednesday, July 4 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT) with an hourlong encore presentation at 10 p.m. Dixon will be joined by the iconic Harlem Gospel Choir for a rendition of the patriotic "America the Beautiful."

This August, the acclaimed concert series Broadway Sings will begin a one-year residency at The Green Room 42 presenting the spin-off Broadway Sings: Unplugged. The series will feature Broadway favorites including Jelani Alladin (Frozen), Corey Cott (Bandstand), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Amber Iman(Shuffle Along), Aisha Jackson (Frozen), Corey Mach (Kinky Boots), Tiffany Mann (Waitress), and Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture).

Earlier this month to coincide with Father's Day, CMT Music and CMT.com jointly debuted the official music video for 'A Day Without,' the new single from twenty-one-year-old country music songstress Abi. The song is loosely based on the passing of Abi's father and as the singer states in 'The Making of 'A Day Without',' the accompanying video stays true to the song's meaning, but keeps it open for personal interpretation.
