Walking Fish Theatre to Offer Two Youth Acting Classes this Fall

Coming up, two sessions of acting classes at Walking Fish Theatre! Fun with Acting, a beginner's acting class for kids ages 7-10 and: Acting for Teens, ages 11-17. Both Fun with Acting andActing for Teens start Saturday, October 19 and go until Saturday, November 23, 2013 (see exact dates below) at Walking Fish Theatre, 2509 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125. Times for Fun with Acting: 10:00am-11:15am. Times for Acting for Teens: 11:30am-12:45pm. Cost is $60 for 6 weeks.

The Centre Theater presents its annual spotlight on regionally recognized work and new theatre, The Independent Voices Festival. In it is 4th year, the festival spotlights performers who deserve an encore performance or who have new work to bring to the stage. The three festival highlights fur premieres and performances from four regionally recognized solo performance artists.

On Monday, August 6th, 2012, at 7 PM, ReGroup Theatre presents the first fully-staged public reading of Nellise Child's 'bitter comedy' WEEP FOR THE VIRGINS in 77 years. The reading celebrates the first-ever publication of the play, along with the first publication of Robert Ardrey's Casey Jones and Mr. Ardrey's classic Group play Thunder Rock.
