The first podcast in Fuel Theatre's monthly Everyday Moments series will be recorded by Foster's 'Comedy God' award-winner, artist and founder of Frank Chickens, Kazuko Hohki. It will be the opening podcast in the series, which sees twelve of Britain's most inspiring artists and performers recording a podcast, to be listened to at a particular time of day, and in a particular place.

Kazuko's podcast is intended to be listened to in the bath in the early evening, and will be available to download from Fuel Theatre's website from 20 January 2011.

Everyday Moments sees twelve of Britain's most inspiring artists and performers will each record a podcast, to be listened to at a particular time of day, and in a particular place, in a new project from Fuel.

In the words of the project's co-creators, Everyday Moments will consist of "twelve tiny interventions to make your life better". Each podcast will explore the boundaries and definition of theatre, creating a momentarily transformative experience out of only a voice, a time of day and the listener's surroundings.

Everyday Moments is the brainchild of creators Louise Blackwell and Kate McGrath, co-directors of Fuel. It is the first work to be exclusively commissioned by Fuel. Founded in 2004 and led by Louise Blackwell and Kate McGrath, Fuel is a producing organisation working in partnership with some of the most exciting artists in the UK to develop, create and present new work.

The podcasts will each be a maximum of ten minutes long. Some will fit snugly into private and innocuous moments of your day. If you're catching up with chores at the weekend, then it's time to listen to poet and National Treasure John Hegley's contribution.

Lying in the bath in the early evening? With her band Frank Chickens, Perrier Award nominee Kazuko Hohki was a favourite of John Peel's, and recently won the Foster's Comedy God Award (with a little help from comedian Stewart Lee) but she's not too busy to keep you company as you soak.

Tucked up in bed with a hot drink and insomnia at 2am? Adrian Howells specialises in creating intimacy with strangers in his shows such as Foot Washing for the Sole, so why not invite him under the covers with you.

And if you're counting down the minutes in the last hour of work, taking as long as you can to make a cup of tea before going back to your desk, then If.com Eddy (formerly Perrier) award-winning comedian Josie Long knows exactly how you feel, and will while away those minutes with you.

Others will require more effort on the part of the listener: if you want to listen to writer and performer Inua Ellams' contribution, you'll need to get yourself to the middle of a bridge at midnight.

And New York performance artist Peggy Shaw will tap into the darker recesses of your mind with a podcast to be listened to at dawn.

A 'Thought for the Day' for the creatively inclined, these podcasts will bring a little magic, a little fun, and even a little romance, into the least remarkable of everyday moments.

The twelve podcasts will be released each month throughout 2011, and are available to download from www.fueltheatre.com

Contributors include: Inua Ellams, John Hegley, Kazuko Hohki, Adrian Howells, Josie Long, Peggy Shaw, Hofesh Shechter, Lemn Sissay and Melanie Wilson

The podcasts will be recorded in collaboration with Roundhouse Radio. Roundhouse Radio is an online radio station broadcast direct from the Roundhouse in Camden, by a new generation of radio talent, all aged 25 or under www.roundhouse.org.uk/radio

Everyday Moments is funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Arts Council England.

The first podcast will be available to download from www.fueltheatre.com on 20th January 2011.
