By: Jun. 09, 2010

On Thursday 10 June 2010 Will Young will join The Feeling and the Olivier award winning Spring Awakening cast to perform at CHANGING LANDSCAPES, CHANGING LIVES - a party to celebrate the launch of the Lyric Hammersmith's £15 million capital project that will transform the landscape of Hammersmith and the lives of thousands of disadvantaged young West Londoners.

West Londoner Will Young came to prominence in 2002, winning ITV's inaugural Pop Idol before embarking on a career that has brought 10 Brit nominations and 2 Awards, delivered four Platinum albums with sales of over eight million albums worldwide, and numerous hit singles, including the fastest-selling debut in UK chart history and the biggest selling single of the noughties, the double A side Evergreen / Anything is Possible, along with Your Game, Light My Fire, Leave Right Now and Changes.

Young's talents are not confined to music, winning rave reviews for his film debut in Stephen Frears Mrs. Henderson Presents, appearing on stage in Noel Coward's The Vortex, enjoying his own South Bank Show special, and featured as a panellist on the highest rated Question Time in recent memory.

In supporting CHANGING LANDSCAPES, CHANGING LIVES Young said; ‘It is a pleasure to be able to lend a helping hand to a project that highlights the use of the arts to aid and transform young people's lives'.
