Three Sisters: Ruined. The Original Dance Mom. A Father Scheming of a Fortune in Frog Legs. The Hypocritical Bible Toting-Quoting Grandma. Meet the Jobes of Burchett Court—somewhere between Cannery Row and Tobacco Road. Employed by The Blue Ocean Cannery, these three untalented sisters are lead to believe they will have fame and fortune waiting for them...if only they can get to Hollywood, by whatever means necessary. Act by act, each of the sisters meets her fate, driven there by their mother's poisonous love.

Originally directed by Cheryl Crawford, WEEP FOR THE VIRGINS' cast featured Group actors John Garfield, Phoebe Brand, Margaret Barker, Ruth Nelson, J.E. Bromberg and more. Nellise Child's play makes a one night return to the New York stage to celebrate it's first ever publication in The "Lost" Group Theatre Plays: Vol II.

The fully staged reading will take place on the Main Stage Theatre at The Irish Rep, 132 W 22nd St at 7 PM on Monday, August 6th. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated. Reservations are required. To RSVP, call (212) 340-1054 or email RSVP@ReGroupTheatre.org

The evening features the talents of Jade Anderson, Carly Bauer, Stephen Dexter, Alexandra Dickson, Luke Guldan, Daniel Hainsworth, Avé M. Lindon, Andrea Marshall-Money, Pete McElligott, Kate McGrath, Lynne Otis, Mateo Prendergast, & Sophie Vanier. It is directed by Kelsey Moore under the artistic direction of Allie Mulholland.

The ReGroup recently presented Robert Ardrey's Thunder Rock at TBG Mainstage Theatre. Both of Mr. Ardrey plays presented by The Group Theatre, Thunder Rock and Casey Jones (also previously unpublished) will round out Vol II Lost Group Play series.

The book will first be for sale at the reading, and then at select bookstores and online retailers. The book features a Foreword by Wendy Smith, author of the definitive Group Theatre book, Real Life Drama as well as selected essays by the playwrights' families. Volume I of the series was released last year and contained John Howard Lawson's Success Story and Gentlewoman and Claire & Paul Sifton's 1931. It features a Foreword by Estelle Parsons and essays from George Bartenieff, Allie Mulholland and Jeffrey Lawson. Kindle e-book versions of the plays will be released this fall.

Oct will see the ReGroup mounting a revival of a very rare Group play (details to be announced very shortly) and beginning Nov 28th, they will present a site specific production of Dawn Powell's biting advertising satire BIG NIGHT. For more information, visit dawnpowellsbignight.com.
