Off-Off Broadway's Egg & Spoon Theatre Collective has announced its 2019-2020 Season, to be produced at SoHo's historic Access Theater. It is the third season for Egg & Spoon, since being founded in 2017 by a handful of Syracuse University graduates.

The Left Coast Chamber Ensemble's (LCCE) 2018-2019 season culminates with Dorothea and Artemisia, a program featuring the world premieres of two original chamber operas, each inspired by the contributions of an extraordinary woman artist. The concert includes From the Field, a micro-opera by Christopher Stark illuminating the work of Depression-era photographer Dorothea Lange, and Artemisia, a dramatic operatic work by Laura Schwendinger based on the life of 17th century Italian painter Artemisia Gentileschi. The performances will be presented at Z Space, located at 450 Florida Street, San Francisco, on Saturday, June 1 at 7:30pm, and Sunday June 2, at 2pm.

Skidmore Theater has announced its Spring Black Box production, Men On Boats written by New York Times Critics' Pick playwright Jaclyn Backhaus and student directed by Skidmore Theater student, Nina Slowinski.

The Civil War is over, but fighting rages on in 1870s Texas. In this one-hour musical comedy with a live band, a beleaguered army officer stands between an outlaw family and a band of vigilantes, while a wronged woman seeks her own twisted justice.

Moving Panoramas' anticipated sophomore album In Two will be released this Friday via Modern Outsider (pre-order). Austin-based band Moving Panoramas have revealed the latest single 'In Tune' from their highly anticipated sophomore album In Two out February 22 via Modern Outsider (pre-order). 'In Tune' which features Matthew Caws from Nada Surf premiered at PopMatters and can also be shared at Soundcloud. About the song PopMatters says,''In Tune,' proves that comparisons to Dum Dum Girls, Best Coast, and the 4AD imprint during the 1990s haven't been off the mark. But the single further establishes songwriter Leslie Sisson's formidable powers for creating riveting narrative tension across a hook-laden track that provides the perfect balance of introspection and uplift. Fans of shoegaze and the poppier turns of the Cure will no doubt celebrate this single as a new favorite.' The NAACP announced today that Congresswoman Maxine Waters will be honored with the prestigious NAACP Chairman's Award which is bestowed in recognition of individuals who demonstrate exemplary public service and use their distinct platforms to create agents of change. Leon W. Russell, Chairman of the NAACP National Board of Directors, will present Congresswoman Waters with the award at the 50th NAACP Image Awards on March 30, 2019 live at 9pm/8c on TV One.
