Jellyfish Jive Productions announces that the Original Off-Broadway Cast recording of John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean will be released on Yellow Sound Label on July 27. The Official Cast album features the vocal talents of Tony and Emmy Award Nominee John Tartaglia, who created and wrote the undersea family musical adventure that opened on March 31, 2010 at New World Stages in New York.

John Tartaglia and members of the cast of his off-Broadway show, JOHN TARTAGLIA'S IMAGINOCEAN, will appear at Barnes and Noble at 150 East 86th Street (at Lexington Avenue) on July 28 at 7pm, Barnes and Noble has announced. Tartaglia will present music from IMAGINOCEAN, and he and the cast members will sign copies of the show's original Off-Broadway cast recording.

The Theatre World Awards presentation were held at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street, in an invitation-only ceremony, Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Peter Filichia hosted, Barry Keating directed, and Mary K. Botosan, Kati Meister, and Erin Oestreich were the event's producers. John Willis, a founder of the Theatre World Awards, was in attendance.

Past award recipients expected to present (or perform) at this year's ceremony include: Kate Burton (Winners, 1983), Michael Cristofer (The Cherry Orchard, 1977), Viola Davis (Seven Guitars, 1996), Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening, 2007), Robert LuPone (A Chorus Line, 1976 Special Award), Alli Mauzey (Cry-Baby, 2008), Michael McKean (Accomplice, 1990), Brian Stokes Mitchell, (Mail, 1988), Alfred Molina (Molly Sweeney, 1996) Loretta Ables Sayre (South Pacific, 2008), John Tartaglia (Avenue Q, 2004), and Vanessa Williams (Kiss of the Spider Woman, 1995). The award-winning composer, arranger, and pianist Alex Rybeck will serve as musical director for the event.

IMAGINOCEAN's 'Dorsel' has released a music video professing a deep love for Tony- and Emmy Award-winning Kristin Chenoweth, currently appearing in Broadway's PROMISES, PROMISES. In the video, 'Dorsel,' voiced by IMAGINOCEAN creator and performer John Tartaglia, performs Stephen Schwartz's 'Popular' from Broadway's WICKED, a song originally performed by Chenoweth. Last night, May 23, the Drama Desk Association hosted the 55th Annual Drama Desk Awards ceremony at the F.H. LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. Former Drama Desk Award winner Patti LuPone hosted the ceremony, which honored the best of Broadway and off in the 2009-2010 season. BroadwayWorld.com provided live coverage on the site throughout the ceremony and was on hand at the event to capture the starry arrivals.

On Monday, May 24, John Tartaglia will host the grand finale of a fundraiser benefiting the Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC). The benefit, 'Got Talent?' is a spin-off of the popular TV show of the same name. 'Got Talent?' will be held at the Times Square Art Center. Joining Tartaglia are judges Rachel Hoffman, Leslie Jordan, and Dr. Ruth Westheimer.
