On last night's Saturday Night Live, the cast and host John Mulaney performed another iconic musical sketch. This time, they took on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Rent, Cats, and Little Shop of Horrors!

Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and Film Independent present a special, one-night only live read of the 1981 comedy My Dinner with Andre, starring Emmy Award-winning writer and comedian John Mulaney ('Saturday Night Live,' Kid Gorgeous) and noted film and Broadway actor Nick Kroll (Loving, Big Mouth, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at 7:30 pm. Elvis Mitchell, Film Independent Curator will host.

AM Productions presents a pair comedy stars for a night of laughs at the State Theatre.  Former SNL writer and Emmy Award winner John Mulaney and current SNL cast member Pete Davidson will take the stage today, February 23 at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $48 and are on sale immediately.

John Mulaney will return for his second appearance as “SNL” host on March 2. Mulaney received a 2018 Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for the comedy special “Kid Gorgeous,” currently streaming on Netflix.

Stars continue to line up to present on the Oscars – the year's most-watched, live entertainment event – on Sunday, Feb. 24, announced show producer Donna Gigliotti and co-producer and director Glenn Weiss. “The Oscars” airs live on The ABC Television Network and is broadcast in more than 225 countries and territories.

The Madison Square Garden Company (NYSE: MSG) and the Garden of Dreams Foundation announced today that comedian Iliza Shlesinger has joined the lineup of Garden of Laughs, presented by Delta Air Lines. Shlesinger joins a celebrated lineup that will include performances by Jerry Seinfeld along withBill Burr, Michael Che, John Mulaney, Brian Regan and Jon Stewart. The 2019 Garden of Laughs will be hosted by Steve Schirripa and will take place at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 8:00 p.m., with all net proceeds going directly to Garden of Dreams. Tickets are on sale now.

IFC has released a first look at the Sondheim-themed episode of DOCUMENTARY NOW! The episode will parody D.A. Pennebaker's classic making-of Company documentary, in an episode called 'Original Cast Album: Co-Op.' 

On last night's episode of 'Late Night with Seth Meyers,' John Mulaney stops by to talk about the Stephen Sondheim-themed episode of Documentary Now!, his lifelong love of musicals, and why he wasn't allowed to perform in his high school's theater productions.

The National Comedy Center, the nation's first museum and visitor experience dedicated to the comedic arts, announced today that Sebastian Maniscalco and John Mulaney will headline the 2019 Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, August 7th -11th. Voiced by cast members of the Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation critically-acclaimed hit feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the five-track EP reimagines classic holiday favorites with Spider-Man inspired lyrics.

Sony Music proudly announces the release of SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) featuring original music by multiple Golden Globe nominee Daniel Pemberton. The soundtrack will be released digitally and on CD on December 17, 2018. Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animations' Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will debut in U.S. theaters on December 14.

This morning, Film Independent announced that Aubrey Plaza (Ingrid Goes West, Legion, Parks & Recreation) will host the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards. The Spirit Awards are the primary fundraiser for Film Independent's year-round programs, which cultivate the careers of emerging filmmakers and promote diversity in the industry. Nominees were announced by Gemma Chan (Crazy Rich Asians, Captain Marvel, Mary Queen of Scots) and Molly Shannon (Divorce, Private Life, Other People) at a press conference on November 16. Best Feature nominees include Eighth Grade, First Reformed, If Beale Street Could Talk, Leave No Trace and You Were Never Really Here. The show will broadcast live exclusively on IFC at 2:00 pm PT/ 5:00 pm ET on Saturday, February 23, 2019.
