Today SiriusXM and Netflix announced the launch of Netflix Is A Joke Radio, a full-time comedy channel to air exclusively on SiriusXM ch. 93. This is the first time the streaming company has worked in unison with another major subscription media company to create a new outlet for their content. The channel, which will feature highlights from top Netflix talent including Adam Sandler, Aziz Ansari, Bill Burr, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Ellen DeGeneres, Gabriel Iglesias, Jerry Seinfeld, John Mulaney, Ken Jeong, Ricky Gervais, Sarah Silverman, Sebastian Maniscalco, Trevor Noah, Wanda Sykes, and more, launches on April 15, 2019 on SiriusXM.

The Garden of Dreams Foundation announced today that the 2019 Garden of Laughs event, presented by Delta Air Lines, once again raised more than $2 million for the Foundation to aid its efforts to make dreams come true for tri-state area children in need. Since its inception in 2013, the biennial Garden of Laughs comedy benefit has raised $7 million in total for the charity. The National Comedy Center, the country's official cultural institution dedicated to comedy, announced today that it has added a second show for John Mulaney after his initial show - as well as Sebastian Maniscalco's first show - broke all festival records by selling out in the first day on sale to the public for the 2019 Lucille Ball Comedy Festival.

IFC announced today that it has renewed Documentary Now!, for a 53rd season. The series is produced by Broadway Video and created by Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Seth Meyers, Rhys Thomas and executive produced by Lorne Michaels. IFC has ordered 7 episodes for the upcoming season, however no air date has been announced because Fred, Bill and Seth are super busy.

Established in 2009, the Hero Award honors organizations or individuals annually that embody the spirit of the Garden of Dreams Foundation through an active and ongoing dedication to positively impacting the lives of children facing obstacles, while serving as a driving force and inspiration for others. Schirripa received the award as a surprise at the 2019 Garden of Laughs comedy benefit, presented by Delta Air Lines, which took place at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden on April 2, 2019.

During the interview, Conan brings up Mulaney's famous musical SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE sketches. Conan asks if 'Diner Lobster' and 'Bodega Bathroom' are part of a trilogy of musical sketches, and if audiences should be expecting a third the next time he hosts. Mulaney replies, 'I'm not sure what the next would be, I think it might be the G train.'

The National Comedy Center was formally designated as the nation's official cultural institution dedicated to the art form of comedy on Tuesday, March 12. In a tremendous bi-partisan show of support, both the Senate and House of Representatives passed this bill in February, and the president signed it into law on Tuesday, recognizing the Center as the "Official National Comedy Center of the United States."

During an interview with Vulture, John Mulaney discussed his return to SNL, which featured the follow-up musical sketch to the famous 'Diner Lobster,' which was a 'Les Miserables' song parody sketch. The sequel sketch, 'Bodega Bathroom' featured musical spoofs of songs from 'Rent', 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', to name a few. Mulaney also recently starred in the 'Company' parody episode of 'Documentary Now!'

According to Deadline, this week's episode of Saturday Night Live experienced a decrease in ratings. The episode, hosted by Idris Elba, with musical guest Khalid, averaged a 4.5 live plus same day household rating in the metered markets, and a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating in the markets with local people meters.
