f**kING MEN observes the sex lives of the modern urban gay American male. Conceived as a noir-riff on Arthur Schnitzler's 19th century play, LA RONDE, the play examines ten men from all walks of life as they negotiate the before and after of lust, love, betrayal and the pursuit of sex and emotional connection.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) and 1113 Productions (Steven Ullman, Executive Producer) will present the World Premiere of FALLING FOR EVE, a new musical with book by two-time Tony Award-nominee (and recent two-time Outer Critics Circle Award-winner) Joe DiPietro (MEMPHIS), music by Bret Simmons ('The Megan Mullally Show') and lyrics by David Howard ('Galaxy Quest'). Rehearsals will soon be underway for Bailiwick Chicago's next production, F**king Men, penned by Tony-nominated writer Joe DiPietro (Memphis, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change). Mr. DiPietro is working closely with Director Tom Mullen (Urinetown, Blue Dog Prods.) to bring the definitive production of his groundbreaking play to Chicago, following smash-hit runs in London and Los Angeles.

Theatreworks Celebrates MEMPHIS' Tony Wins

Lat night's win of four 2010 Tony® Awards for the Broadway hit MEMPHIS, including "Best Musical," was cause for celebration at TheatreWorks, the Silicon Valley theatre company that gave birth to the musical. The show was developed at TheatreWorks' 2002 New Works Festival and received its world premiere in 2004 on TheatreWorks' Mainstage. Since then, MEMPHIS has been working its way to Broadway, where it made its debut last October.

Last night, Memphis took away the 2010 Tony for Best Musical. The show also won honors for Best Book Of a Musical, and Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre. Today, BroadwayWorld.com checked with the show's representatives, who tell us that the show has already seen box office sales that are four times higher than on a normal Sunday/Monday. Broadway Beat was backstage at the 2010 Tony Awards talking to ALL the winners right after they won! Here, host Richard Ridge talks to MEMPHIS' David Bryan and Joe DiPietro, who together recieved the 2010 Tony Award for Best Original Score for MEMPHIS. DiPietro also received the 2010 Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical, while Bryan recieved a second Tony Award for Best Orchestrations with partner Daryl Waters.

Last night, on June 13, the 2010 Tony Awards honored the best of Broadway in the 2009-2010 season. MEMPHIS was the big winner of the night in the musical category, earning honors for Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score, and Best Orchestrations. BroadwayWorld was on hand at the show's post-Tony celebration at the Empire Hotel.
