'Ko'olau' Will Play September 18- October 5 at La MaMa

Renovated HERE Arts Center Reopens 'With A Twist'

Arrivals for The Hollywood Arts Council's 30th Anniversary Gala and 22nd Annual Charlie Awards honoring individuals, businesses and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to Hollywood's art and culture will take place at Jim Henson Studios, historic site of the original Charlie Chaplin Studios and A&M Records and present home of the world-famous Muppets; 1416 North LaBrea Avenue. On March 29, a celebrity and VIP reception with cocktails and a silent auction will beging at 6:30pm with a finner and the program to follow at 7:30. Recepients this year are Bob Mackie (Inagural Fashion Arts Award), the Hollywood Wax Museum (Entertainment Arts Award), the Blank Theatre at 2nd Stage (Theatre Arts Award), Community Redevelopment Agency (Public Art Award), Iron Mountain (Preservation Arts Award), Cinefamily/Silent Movie Theatre (Cinematic Arts Award), AYLA Arslanian (Community Arts Award) and Councilmember Tom LaBonge (Special Recognition Award).
