'I am very honored and humbled to be taking part at the Tennessee State Fair,' said Guy Gilchrist, the cartoonist of Nancy. 'I look forward to having a wonderful time showing everyone how to have fun drawing cartoons, and at the same time provide the keys to unlocking the audiences' most cherished gifts and dreams.
'The message that Nancy Loves Nashville conveys promotes the importance of taking care of the environment is essential and critical that this starts at an early age,' continued Gilchrist. 'As a resident of Tennessee, this has a special meaning for me and I am glad to be taking part in this promotion with our partners with the Tennessee Department of Transportation.'
Guy Gilchrist at the age of 24, he was hand-selected to create Jim Henson's Muppets Comic Strip which was printed worldwide in 660-plus newspapers daily from 1981 to 1986.
