Created by Aaron Sorkin (Oscar(R) winner for writing 'The Social Network,' executive producer and writer of the multiple Emmy(R) winner 'The West Wing'), the new HBO drama series THE NEWSROOM follows the news team on their quixotic mission to reclaim the legacy of Murrow and Cronkite in the face of a fickle audience,corporate mandates and tangled personal relationships. Kicking off its ten-episode season SUNDAY, JUNE 24 (10:00-11:15 p.m. ET/PT), the series is executive produced by Sorkin, Scott Rudin (the Oscar(R) winner 'No Country for Old Men ') and Alan Poul (HBO's multiple Emmy(R) winner 'Six Feet Under').

In the vein of recent Circle musicals Urinetown and Tommy, a Reefer Madness like you've never seen before! Matthew Gunnels, no stranger to camp classics, makes his Circle directorial debut bringing this 'high' musical comedy to our stage.

Manhattan Theatre Club celebrated Artistic Director Lynne Meadow's 40th anniversary as the visionary and artistic leader of the organization with a special tribute last night, June 18. The event will began at 6:30 PM with a VIP cocktail reception, followed by a 7:30 tribute event at the Samuel J. Friedman and a party at Copacabana. The event will begin at 6:30 PM with a VIP cocktail reception, followed by a 7:30 tribute event at the Samuel J. Friedman (261 West 47th Street). Immediately after the Friedman tribute event, a party will follow at Copacabana (268 West 47th Street).

Theater For The New City has announced the American premiere production of Alberto Bassetti's TWO SISTERS, TWO BROTHERS, directed by Mark Schneider and Valentina Fratti. TWO SISTERS, TWO BROTHERS will play a limited engagement at Theater for the New City (155 First Avenue, btw. 9th/10th). Opening Night is tonight, June 9 (8 p.m.).

New York Theatre Workshop world premiere production of Food and Fadwa, written by Lameece Issaq and Jacob Kader, and directed by Shana Gold, opens officially tonight, June 7 at NYTW. Food and Fadwa is a co-production with Noor Theatre, a company-in-residence at New York Theatre Workshop.
