The Purple Rose Theatre Company will present two free concert readings of plays under consideration for future production at the Chelsea District Library in November and December 2012. As part of the professional theatre company's ongoing partnership with the award-winning library, the readings will take place at 10:30 a.m. today, November 10, 2012 and Today, December 1, 2012 in the McKune Room of the Chelsea District Library. The library is located at 221 South Main Street, Chelsea, Michigan, 48118. Each reading will be followed by an audience talkback with the director and actors.

Performance Network Theatre, Ann Arbor's professional theatre known for bringing Michigan audiences the hottest new scripts from New York and beyond, is proud to announce the December installment of its Fireside New Play Festival, showcasing four full-length plays as from emerging American playwrights. St. Dunstan's production of It Came From Mars will only be the 4th production of the show. It debuted professionally in 2010, by the Performance Network of Ann Arbor, MI. It was then performed at the Williamston Theatre (MI), and once at a theatre in Ireland called The Breakaway Project. St. Dunstan's will be the first community theatre to have the rights to the show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Gandolfini will star in a pilot for HBO titled CRIMINAL JUSTICE. The drama will be based on the BBC BAFTA-award winning series from Peter Moffat. It will be adapted for HBO by Steven Zaillian and Richard Price.
