The Purple Rose Theatre Company has announced the 2012 / 2013 Season, which will feature two world premieres and two plays by award-winning playwrights. The theatre company's 22nd professional season will include: Superior Donuts by Tracy Letts, the world premiere of The Meaning of Almost Everything by Jeff Daniels, 33 Variations by Moises Kaufman and the world premiere of Miles & Ellie by Don Zolidis.

HBO Picks Up THE NEWSROOM for Second Season

According to the Hollywood Reporter, HBO has officially picked up Aaron Sorkin's 'The Newsroom' for a second season. The series, which premiered on June 24, airs Sunday nights at 10pm. Additionally, the network has also renewed 'True Blood' for a sixth season.

For two weeks in July and August, 2012, East Hampton Studio will transform into America's first pop-up dance studio, as the hottest choreographers from Hollywood and Broadway hit the Hamptons for Dance House USA. TMZ.com reports that Jeff Daniels has confirmed the news that the planned sequel to the 1994 hit comedy DUMB AND DUMBER is officially a no-go. According to the report, Daniels revealed that the film is 'like a parakeet without a head ... dead.'
