Our Chelsea "Best Exhibits" tour Sat. June 28 will feature the top shows from Chelsea's 300 galleries - the world's center for contemporary art! This will be the final scheduled tour of the season, in any gallery neighborhood, though we'll continue to lead private tours all summer long, then our scheduled gallery tours will begin again at the start of the new gallery season in September.

From the top of Greenwich Park Hill you can look out on one of most spectacular views of the capital - a city of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness. With this inspiration, GDIF 2014 invites you to experience familiar streets and public spaces as they're transformed by over 50 outdoor events from leading UK and International artists - from gravity-defying aerial choreography to global stories of war and peace; encounters between the living and the dead and a house turned inside out; from a pop-up desert island to a flying ship of dreams. This summer at GDIF the magic of outdoor theatre shows the world in a different light, urging audiences to look at the world anew.

Today OZ, Nashville's first contemporary arts center, announces its 2014-15 season, which runs September 12, 2014 - June 27, 2015. The season is bookended by premieres, beginning with two performances (September 12 & 13) of Tim Robbins' interpretation of A Midsummer Night's Dream, produced and acted by the company he founded and leads, The Actors' Gang, in the production's first U.S. engagement outside of the company's home theater in Los Angeles. OZ's 2014-15 program will conclude with the world premiere (June 18-20) of Memory Rings, the latest multi-media stage production from innovative New York City-based puppetry collective Phantom Limb Company.

The collaboration between FirstWorks and National Grid continues to build momentum with world-class performing arts programs in Providence, RI. The effort focuses on engaging students in underserved cities and towns across the state with exceptional artists and arts learning programs that inspire creativity and provide youth with skills for future success. Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss today announced the schedule for Lincoln Center's fifth White Light Festival, October 7 through November 11, 2014. The multidisciplinary Festival spans 12 venues, and numerous musical traditions and genres. It will include 30 performances, films, and events and feature eight premieres, plus new works and debuts by artists and companies from the United States, Australia, Germany, Pakistan, Poland, the U.K. and South Africa - including the Lincoln Center debut of the Berliner Philharmoniker.

In the world premiere of The Imperfect is Our Paradise, choreographer Liss Fain creates a new environmental work with longtime collaboratorsMatthew Antaky, set design; Mary Domenico, costume design; Dan Wool, sound design; andFrederic Boulay, projection design. Using spoken text from Faulkner's 1929 masterpiece, The Sound and the Fury, the company explores the technique of stream of consciousness as a source of inspiration. The Imperfect is Our Paradise runs September 11-14, 2014 at ODC Theater in San Francisco.

The Cleve Carney Art Gallery hosts a unique exhibit of Vivian Maier's work entitled "Vivian Maier: Exposed" at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL, June 17 - Aug. 16. The opening preview reception will be Tuesday, June 17 from 6 - 8 p.m. and will include a meet and greet with members of "Team Vivian," a College of DuPage (COD) team including vintage film processor, Frank Jackowiak, and several film and photography students, who processed her film. The reception and exhibition is free and open to the public. The gallery will also host special related events including "An Afternoon with Vivian Maier" film screening/panel discussion/book signing event on Sunday, July 27 from 1 until 4 p.m. Tickets are required for this event. Phoenix, Ariz. -- The Lisa Sette Gallery -- which offered experimental and contemporary art for 28 years on iconic Marshall Way in Scottsdale -- will blend its artwork and reputation with another work of art -- an Al Beadle-designed midtown architectural classic -- with a soft opening of its new location and the inaugural summer show, "Hello Midtown!" on Sunday, June 14. The reception, from 1-4 p.m., is open to the public.
