The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, today announces the full program for Crossing the Line 2014, the eighth annual edition of its celebrated fall arts festival, presenting interdisciplinary works and performances by artists from around the world. Crossing the Line runs from September 8 through October 20 in venues throughout New York City.

Lincoln Center Announces Fifth Season of White Light Festival, 10/7 - 11/11

Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss today announced the schedule for Lincoln Center's fifth White Light Festival, October 7 through November 11, 2014. The multidisciplinary Festival spans 12 venues, and numerous musical traditions and genres. It will include 30 performances, films, and events and feature eight premieres, plus new works and debuts by artists and companies from the United States, Australia, Germany, Pakistan, Poland, the U.K. and South Africa - including the Lincoln Center debut of the Berliner Philharmoniker.

In the world premiere of The Imperfect is Our Paradise, choreographer Liss Fain creates a new environmental work with longtime collaboratorsMatthew Antaky, set design; Mary Domenico, costume design; Dan Wool, sound design; andFrederic Boulay, projection design. Using spoken text from Faulkner's 1929 masterpiece, The Sound and the Fury, the company explores the technique of stream of consciousness as a source of inspiration. The Imperfect is Our Paradise runs September 11-14, 2014 at ODC Theater in San Francisco.

Our Chelsea “Best Exhibits” tour Sat. June 28 will feature the top shows from Chelsea's 300 galleries – the world's center for contemporary art! This will be the final scheduled tour of the season, in any gallery neighborhood, though we'll continue to lead private tours all summer long, then our scheduled gallery tours will begin again at the start of the new gallery season in September.

VIVIAN MAIER: EXPOSED Opens at the Cleve Carney Art Gallery

The Cleve Carney Art Gallery hosts a unique exhibit of Vivian Maier's work entitled "Vivian Maier: Exposed" at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL, June 17 - Aug. 16. The opening preview reception will be Tuesday, June 17 from 6 - 8 p.m. and will include a meet and greet with members of "Team Vivian," a College of DuPage (COD) team including vintage film processor, Frank Jackowiak, and several film and photography students, who processed her film. The reception and exhibition is free and open to the public. The gallery will also host special related events including "An Afternoon with Vivian Maier" film screening/panel discussion/book signing event on Sunday, July 27 from 1 until 4 p.m. Tickets are required for this event. 3rd Annual Atlanta Fringe Festival Now thru 6/8

The Atlanta Fringe Festival is thrilled to announce the third annual edition of their locally-produced festival, bringing adventurous local, national and international artists together for a four-day celebration of live performances from across the theatrical spectrum. Building on its first two years, after which the Fringe was named the Best New Trend in the Arts by Creative Loafing's readers, 2014's festival will boast 20 productions from 11 states and Canada. This is the first year the upstart Fringe will host international artists, along with 12 Atlanta-based productions that will join them on the festival's stages. In addition to live performance, the Atlanta Fringe will host Fringe Radio, the only audio drama festival on the national Fringe network, with 23 performances available for free streaming via the Festival website. The live festival is set to take place today, June 5-8, 2014, at various locations in East Atlanta.
