A first listen to the score composed by Tony Award-winning SPRING AWAKENING composer Duncan Sheik for the new Off-Broadway adaptation of Bertolt Brecht's seminal A MAN'S A MAN is now available to peruse.

An Intimate Evening with Carol Channing and Justin Vivian Bond is set for Monday, January 20th 8pm at Town Hall.

In 2013 Joe's Pub at The Public launched its 15th Anniversary season and was named one of the top ten music venues in the country by Rolling Stone magazine. It was a busy year, and there are no signs of slowing down in 2014. The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will celebrate a three-month engagement at JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater in 2014. After a highly-successful season at 54 Below, the show returns to its downtown roots to honor Bowie, Bernadette and Buffy this year. The run will feature tributes to Rock legend David Bowie (Thursday, January 16), stage and screen star Bernadette Peters (Sunday, February 16) and the popular TV program 'Buffy, the Vampire Slayer' (Sunday, March 16). All performances are at 9:30 PM. Special guests will be announced shortly.

BEN RIMALOWER: 'PATTI ISSUES' - the hit solo play hailed as 'ecstatically vivid' by The New York Times and praised for its 'wit, feeling and conviction' by Time Out New York - will be presented in Baltimore, Maryland and aboard the RSVP Vacations' 'Divina Cruise' this winter, plus an upcoming 'mini-tour' of South Florida this spring, on the heels of its triumphant 14-month run in New York and following recent performances in Boston, Berlin, Glasgow, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Berkeley, Provincetown and the Fire Island Pines, as well as its inclusion as an official selection in the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's Summer Conference. Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, has announced complete casting today for its upcoming new production of Bertolt Brecht's A MAN'S A MAN, which begins performances Friday, January 10 at CSC (136 East 13thStreet). A MAN'S A MAN will be directed by Brian Kulick and features a new score and new songs by Tony Award-winning composer Duncan Sheik. This production continues CSC's exploration of the works of Bertolt Brecht, which began in 2011 with the sold-out production of Galileoand was followed by last season's The Caucasian Chalk Circle (on which Kulick and Sheik also collaborated). Joining previously announcedJustin Vivian Bond (Widow Begbick) are Jason Babinsky (Polly Baker), Bill Buell (Jeraiah Jip), Gibson Frazier (Galy Gay), Martin Moran (Uriah Shelley), Steven Skybell (Jesse Mahoney), Stephen Spinella (Bloody Five), Ching Valdes-Aran (Mr. Wang) and Allan K. Washington (Ensemble). The official opening night is Thursday, January 30. A MAN'S A MAN will play a limited engagement through February 16.

Kyra Miller will make her Joe's Pub debut in a show she wrote, titled CHOSEN. Miller will play Joe's Pub on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2013 at 7:30 pm.

Last night, 92Y celebrated songwriting legend Mike Stoller on the occasion of his 80th year with An 80th Birthday Celebration, a one-night-only Lyrics & Lyricists Special Event hosted by Paul Shaffer and directed and written by Randy Johnson (director/writer of A Night withJanis Joplin). Performers included: legendary vocal group The Coasters, along with artists Karen Akers,Mary Bridget Davies, Corky Hale, Maria Elena Infantino,Sally Kellerman, Bettye Lavette, Melissa Manchester, Billy Stritch, Tommy Tune and Steve Tyrell. Backed by Tyrell's band, the artists performed some of the greatest songs written by Stoller with his longtime lyricist partner Jerry Leiber and others.
