Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, has announced complete casting today for its upcoming new production of Bertolt Brecht's A MAN'S A MAN, which begins performances Friday, January 10 at CSC (136 East 13thStreet). A MAN'S A MAN will be directed by Brian Kulick and features a new score and new songs by Tony Award-winning composer Duncan Sheik. This production continues CSC's exploration of the works of Bertolt Brecht, which began in 2011 with the sold-out production of Galileoand was followed by last season's The Caucasian Chalk Circle (on which Kulick and Sheik also collaborated). Joining previously announced Justin VivIan Bond (Widow Begbick) are Jason Babinsky (Polly Baker), Bill Buell (Jeraiah Jip), Gibson Frazier (Galy Gay), Martin Moran (Uriah Shelley), Steven Skybell (Jesse Mahoney), Stephen Spinella (Bloody Five), Ching Valdes-Aran (Mr. Wang) and Allan K. Washington (Ensemble). The official opening night is Thursday, January 30. A MAN'S A MAN will play a limited engagement through February 16.

In this early knockabout, anti-just-about-everything farce by Brecht, innocent dockworker Galy Gay in British Colonial India is rather unorthodoxly enlisted into Her Majesty's Armed Forces, where he is "dismantled like a car" and then reassembled into the ultimate fighting machine.

Scenic design is by Paul Steinberg, costume design by Gabriel Berry, lighting design by Justin Townsend and sound design by Matt Kraus.

A MAN'S A MAN will perform Tuesdays through Thursdays at 7pm; Fridays at 8pm; Saturdays at 3pm and 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets start at $60 and are available starting Thursday, December 12 at 12pm at classicstage.org, by calling 212-352-3101 or 866-811-4111, or at the CSC Box Office at 136 East 13th Street between Third and Fourth Avenues.

CSC will also continue ACCESS FRIDAYS for A MAN'S A MAN, with 20 tickets at $20 each available for Friday evening performances (beginning with Friday, January 24). Tickets will go on sale each Monday at 12pm for the Friday performance of that week, available online, by phone or in person at the CSC box office with an exclusive code.
