In January 2020, Joe's Pub presents its annual slate of showcases coinciding with APAP|NYC 2020, the yearly Association of Performing Artists Presenters conference drawing presenters from around the world, January 10-14. The month will also include the fifth installment of Under the Radar + Joe's Pub: In Concert, a collaborative series highlighting multidisciplinary artists at the intersection of music and theater during The Public Theater's innovative Under the Radar Festival, January 8-19.

Joel Ross has revealed his mesmerizing new music video for “Yana” (directed by Daveion Thompson) from the vibraphonist's acclaimed debut album KingMaker, out now on Blue Note Records. Blue Note has also announced a 2-LP vinyl release for KingMaker, which will come out on August 9 and is available for pre-order now here.

Vibraphonist Joel Ross has revealed “Yana,” another new track from his auspicious debut album KingMaker, which comes out May 3. Hear “Yana” on Blue Note's Jazz Now! playlist. Ross will be celebrating the album's release at Jazz Standard in New York City on June 4-5 and Pizza Express in London on July 10-11. This Spring and Summer he'll also be appearing at festivals in the U.S. (Atlanta & Newport) and Europe (North Sea & Umbria), in addition to upcoming tour stops in Brooklyn, Washington DC, and Boston. Revered jazz vocalist Tierney Sutton makes her Cafe Carlyle debut, March 19-23. An 8-time Grammy nominee over the course of her esteemed career, Sutton has received seven consecutive nominations for Best Jazz Vocal Album - one for every project she has released over the last decade. In 2013 she released After Blue, a jazz-inspired re-imagining of the legacy of Joni Mitchell.

Curated by Performances a la Carte, Jazz 'n Paz is back with its' fall intimate jazz series of three concerts with some of Los Angeles' finest jazz musicians. Taking place on early Sunday evenings, this season's series opens September 16 with 2 + 1 featuring Jamie Perez, Lyman Medeiros and Nolan Shaheed; Lolly Allen & Friends on October 7; and on November 4, Latin/world jazz with Will Brahm & Homenaje, bringing different cultures and people together through their original music. Jazz 'n Paz takes place at 5:00 p.m. at Neighborhood UU Church in Pasadena. Series subscriptions are now on sale, offering a discount from individual concert tickets.

Jazz Artist Astrid Kuljanic Comes to Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall

Croatian vocalist and composer, Astrid Kuljanic, will bring her complex musical sensibility to the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall on October 24th with an eclectic program of jazz-infused traditional folk music from a wide variety of traditions, including Klezmer and Balkan standards. She will perform tracks from her up-coming album, Riva, recorded in the Spring of 2017 with her new group, Transatlantic Exploration Company, made up of accordionist and jazz pianist Ben Rosenblum, bassist Mat Muntz, and percussionist Rogerio Boccato. The evening will also include special guests: the groups Hrvatska Ruza, Rosa and Asaran Earth Trio, as well as saxophonist Elijah Shiffer, and violinist Ben Sutin. Hailing from Croatia, Seattle, New York City and Brazil, Transatlantic Exploration Company unites four musical worlds, bound together by a shared dedication to exploring new musical forms. Riva reflects Kuljanic's immersion in the musical traditions of India and Brazil, Klezmer, avant-garde improvisation and electronica.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College will open its 2017-18 Kumble Theater season with eight-time GRAMMY®-nominated jazz artist Tierney Sutton. Praised by The New York Times as 'a pure jazz spirit,' Ms. Sutton and her band will perform their 2017 GRAMMY® Award-nominated project The Sting Variations.
