1984 is ready to bring dystopia to Broadway this summer. See the brand-new photos of the show's marquee which went up this week at Broadway's latest addition, the Hudson Theater. 

Obsidian Theater in association with SRO Productions will stage 1984 this June at Obsidian Theater, 3522 White Oak Drive Houston, TX 77007.  1984 is an adaptation by Michael Gene Sullivan of George Orwell's masterpiece novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four.   The play, which takes place in a dystopian future, revolves around the protagonist Winston Smith and his resistance to Big Brother, the Inner Party and its omnipresent government driven by surveillance, propaganda, and manipulation. 

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the Chicago premiere production of Hir, a subversive comedy by celebrated playwright, actor, singer-songwriter and performance artist Taylor Mac. Directed by Steppenwolf Artistic Producer Hallie Gordon, the cast features ensemble members Francis Guinan (Arnold) and Amy Morton (Paige) with Em Grosland (Max) and Michael Holding (Isaac).

Senhor das Moscas (Lord of the Flies), a 1954 novel by Nobel Prize-winning English author William Golding opens at Teatro do SESI for free season from May 4 to December 3.
