Barely looking, and certainly not sounding, much older than she was over thirty years ago, when her clarion vocals and chipper charm earned her a Tony nomination for playing an unexpectedly pregnant college student in Baby, you might be surprised to know that the weekend before her Monday night concert at Town Hall, Liz Callaway was in Pittsburgh playing the final four performances of a stint as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard.

Since the inception of The Three Tenors on July 7, 1990 in Rome at the Baths of Caracalla on the eve of the FIFA World Cup Final, Plácido Domingo, José Carreras and the one and onlyLuciano Pavarotti; have opened the doors for other great voices, such as the Irish Tenors, The Canadian Tenors and many other talented and renowned performers. Now three of New York's premier voices, Andy Cooney,Daniel RodriguezandMichael Amante have joined together to honor the city of New York and our great nation as the one and only 'New York Tenors'.

On Thursday, September 20, The Broadway League and Coalition of Broadway Unions andGuilds (COBUG) will present the third-annual "Broadway Salutes," an industry-wide celebration to honor those who make Broadway great.

The Town Hall, New York's landmark theatre and concert venue conclude the Sixth Annual Summer Broadway Festival, with Liz Callaway's new show, Even Stephen (with Jason Danieley, Joshua Henry and Norm Lewis) last night, July 30th. The Dark Shadows Weekend 2012 was held this year in Tarrytown, NY on July 28 & 29, 2012. The weekend of events included Dark Shadows Day At Collinwood. This was held on Saturday July 28 at the historic Lyndhurst Estate. This is the site used for the filming of the two Dark Shadows movies based on the original TV series-House of Dark Shadows and Night of Dark Shadows. Both of these movies are to be re-released in the fall on DVD and Blue Ray in conjunction with the release of the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp movie of this year's-Dark Shadows.

The event continued yesterday with performances from the casts of VOCA PEOPLE, Traces, The Fantasticks and Jersey Boys. BroadwayWorld was there for the concert, and you can check out full photo coverage below!

Broadway star Rachel Potter will be among the upcoming performances this week at Joe's Pub.

The Town Hall, New York's landmark theatre and concert venue continued the 6th Annual Summer Broadway Festival, with Broadway's Rising Stars last night, July 23rd at 8pm. The next generation of Broadway performers were chosen during auditions throughout the spring and come from theatrical institutions across the country, including AMDA, CAP21, Steinhardt, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Carnegie Mellon, Marymount and The New School. These young future performers then made their auspicious debut on The Town Hall stage in what has now become regarded as the country's national showcase. David Adjmi 's new play 3C, which recently closed at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, has been under a lot of scrutiny recently, after 'Three's Company' lawyers accused the show of infringing on copyright laws. Dramatists Guild president Stephen Schwartz released the following statement on the issue:

Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW presented THE APPLE CART by George Bernard Shaw - a comedy of a king and the hoops he has to jump through to stay on the throne - yesterday, June 18 at The Players Club in Manhattan. David Staller produced and directed the event and BroadwayWorld was on hand for the photo op!

For two weekends only, beginning June 29 at 8pm, the music of Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Schwartz will be celebrated, cabaret-style, in DEFYING GRAVITY at the Roxy Regional Theatre.
