Broadway lovers and teddy bear collectors came together on March 18 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill (237 West 42nd Street) for one last time to bid on - and bid adieu to - museum-quality bears representing legendary theatrical characters and autographed by the stars who made those characters famous. The cumulative fundraising total for the 15 editions of THE BROADWAY BEARS auctions is a remarkable $2,048,427. The previous fund-raising record was $170,000 set in 2002.

The 15th and grand finale edition of THE BROADWAY BEARS, the annual auction of handmade, one-of-a-kind, theatrically costumed teddy bears, raised a record-setting $198,300 on Sunday, benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Paper Mill Playhouse just opened Damn Yankees, directed by Paper Mill Playhouse's Producing Artistic Director, Mark S. Hoebee, with choreography by Denis Jones. Producers Victor Syrmis, Carl Rumbaugh and Susan Batson, along with Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director) today announced the complete cast and creative team for the World Premiere of In Masks Outrageous and Austere, the final full length play by Tennessee Williams, directed by David Schweizer. Performances will now begin on Friday, April 6, 2012 with an Opening Night set for Monday, April 16, 2012 at Culture Project at 45 Bleecker (at Lafayette Street). The production is scheduled to play through May 26, 2012.

George Street Playhouse will present Twelve Angry Men March 13 through April 8. Directed by David Saint, the production will star: With David Adkins, John Bolger, Jim Bracchitta, David Canary, Scott Drummond, Gregg Edelman, Jonathan Hadary, Jonathan C. Kaplan, Andrew Nogasky, James Rebhorn, David Schramm, Lee Sellars and Michael Sirow.

A previously announced event at the Gallo Center for the Arts has taken on added star power with the news that performers from the Fox Television hit "Glee" will be appearing. The television show's casting director Robert Ulrich of Modesto, and his wife, actress Kim Johnston-Ulrich of Ripon, are to be honored in April at a "Hometown Heroes" event, a continuing series at the Gallo Center that salutes area residents who have achieved national success in their fields.

Ronan Tynan once again returned to The Patchogue Theatre, Patchogue, New York for what has become an annual February event. This year's concert took place on February 25 and was another sold out event.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC) is pleased to announce the 26th Annual MAC Awards Show. The event will be held on Thursday, March 29th, at the world-famous B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in NYC. The evening will feature many live performances as well as the live announcement of the winners of the 2012 MAC Awards. Directed by Casey Childs, the cast will feature Michael Laurence (Krapp39, Broadway's Talk Radio, Opus at Primary Stages), Tony Award® nominee Mary Beth Peil ("The Good Wife," "Dawson's Creek," The King and I), and celebrated violin soloist Hanah Stuart (Chicago Symphony, Zankel Hall). The limited engagement will play March 20 - April 28 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. Opening night is April 3rd.

The Town Hall (123 West 43 Street) signed on Marilyn Maye, Ben Davis, Dameka Hayes, Jessie Mueller, Alice Ripley, Tom Wopat and Noah Racey, who also choreographed, to perform in THE BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1946 last night, February 13, 2012 at 8pm. Ross Patterson was the musical director.
