Award-winning director and two-time Tony Award nominee Alex Timbers is on board as director for The Bobby Darin Story, the opening show of 92Y's American Songbook series Lyrics & Lyricists.

In light of the recent tragedy in Las Vegas, the Marriott Theatre will be collecting donations this weekend after all five performances of HONEYMOON IN VEGAS. Those donations will help provide financial support to the victims and families of the shooting.

FUN HOME runs at Victory Gardens Theatre through November 12. When her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to tell the story of the volatile, brilliant, one-of-a-kind man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. Victory Gardens Theater and Emerald City Theatre will continue to provide Play Pals, a theater experience for the whole family, throughout the 2017-2018 Season. During designated matinees, children ages 4-11 will engage in critically-acclaimed theater education workshops from Emerald City Theatre while their parents attend performances at Victory Gardens Theater.

After a run interrupted by Hurricane Harvey, Dirt Dogs Theatre Co. closes out their season opener, Life X 3 by Yasmina Reza, this weekend. Remaining performances are Thursday at 7:30pm (followed by a talk back with the director and cast), Friday and Saturday at 8:00pm. 

Back by popular demand, Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces the highly anticipated return of the cheeky holiday classic Q Brothers Christmas Carol, from hip-hop sensations the Q Brothers Collective and developed with CST Creative Producer Rick Boynton. After three wildly successful runs in 2013, 2014, and 2015 to sold-out houses, the raucous and irreverent musical event now takes the stage of the Theater's innovative third venue, The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare, November 21-December 31, 2017.
