HB Studio, one of New York's original acting schools, will kick off its 70th anniversary celebration at 7 p.m. on November 3 with a benefit dinner at the Manhattan Penthouse.

Claudio Angelini is the well-known Italian TV news anchor known as the Dan Rather of Italy. He has written a seriocomedy, 'My Wife in a Chador,' in which a Pulitzer Prize nominated author resembling Norman Mailer is recruited to run for Mayor of New York. Coincidentally the author's wife, who is half Arabic, is mugged on the mean streets and is so traumatized by the crime that she decides to return to her Islamic roots and adopt the chador (head covering). The question then becomes: can a man campaigning with an Islamic wife win the mayoralty of our city? When his main opponent is revealed to having been funded by an Emir with terrorist ties, the Mayoral race becomes more than a frolic for the writer -- and the stakes rise considerably higher. Theater for the New City will present the play's world premiere November 6 to 23, directed by Stephan Morrow.

BroadwayWorld.com has exclusively learned that Sherlock Holmes may be headed to the stage in the coming Broadway seasons. Tony Award Nominated producer Antonio R. Marion (Big Fish, Evita) is said to be sheparding the project that is currently in the developmental stages. The production is set to be a brand new version of the beloved stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle that will be presented in the format of a play while a live orchestra underscores the drama and action.

In recognition of the 20 year anniversary of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, actor/writer Jay O. Sanders' play Unexplored Interior, directed by James Glossman, received an unprecedented presentation on Sunday, May 11 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage (www.mjhnyc.org). This first of its kind, technological and creative partnership with Google+, allowed the play to be seen in NYC and at the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center (www.kigaligenocidememorial.org) in Rwanda. Heartbreak House, one of Shaw most admired of curious comedies, is packed full of extraordinary roles. Each member of the cast gets to take a bite out of this rarely produced and provocative piece. Set just before WWI, the action of the play takes place in and around the Shotover home, built like a ship on top of a hill on the English countryside. In the course of the play, everyone learns to face the future, however tumultuous it may be.

Museum of the Moving Image will present a weekend program devoted to exploring early works of computer animation, organized by guest curators Leo Goldsmith and Gregory Zinman. This series of screenings and conversations, Computer Age: Early Computer Movies, 1952-1987, will take place today, November 15 through 17, 2013. Screenings include avant-garde works ranging from oscilloscope experiments to computer-assisted psychedelia; formative digital advertising and music videos; as well as feature films that incorporated these techniques into the mainstream.

The Flea Theater has announced a unique collaboration between The Museum of Jewish Heritage, The Public Theater, The Flea Theater, and individuals, Luna Kaufman, Emmanuel Ruranga, M.S. L.P.C., Daniel Neiden and Erika Feldman. In commemoration of the 19th anniversary of the start of the Rwandan genocide, the group will produce a one time only public reading performance of a new play by Jay O. Sanders.
