The Black Keys Release 9th Studio Album 'Let's Rock' Today

Today, The Black Keys release their ninth studio album, “Let's Rock,” via Easy Eye SoundNonesuch Records. The record is a return to the straightforward rock of the singerguitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney's early days as a band. Auerbach says, “When we're together we are The Black Keys, that's where that real magic is, and always has been since we were sixteen.” “Let's Rock” has already received critical praise, with Paste saying, “If you want something you can crank up at backyard barbecues or in the car with the windows down, well, The Black Keys have two words for you, and they're in the album title,” and the Wall Street Journal adding, “The Black Keys have mastered the form of guitar-based music, and the craft at work on these dozen songs is something to behold.” The band also is featured in this Sunday's New York Times Arts & Leisure section and were profiled on CBS This Morning. The Black Keys Debut Music Video For New Song GO

Today, The Black Keys release the music video for their new song “Go,” from their upcoming album “Let's Rock.” The video is directed by Bryan Schlam and finds the band struggling to reconnect after five years apart. Patrick Carney says, “It was great making this video with Bryan, partially because it was filmed at the very type of place it is making fun of,” and Dan Auerbach adds, “The video was fun, but we still haven't spoken.” Watch the video for “Go” here.

Shannon & The Clams Confirm New Tour Dates Supporting Greta Van Fleet

Today, Shannon & The Clams announce new tour dates supporting Greta Van Fleet throughout September and October in cities including Las Vegas, San Francisco, New Orleans and Nashville (full dates below). Tickets for these dates will go on sale here on Fri, May 17 at 10am Local Time.  The band has previously confirmed a West Coast tour opening for the Black Keys later in the fall in cities including Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles and Portland. This morning, The Black Keys confirm their extensive, thirty-one-date arena tour of North America. The 'Let's Rock' Tour will hit cities including Chicago, Nashville, New York, Los Angeles, and Austin (full dates below). Special guests Modest Mouse will provide support on all dates, and Shannon & The Clams, *repeat repeat, and Jessy Wilson will each open select shows on the tour. At The Disco's latest single “High Hopes” is a certified hit, led by 2,800 spins at SiriusXM's Hits 1‎ the single claims the #1 spot across three radio formats this week including Pop, Hot AC, and Alternative radio. The song, which was just certified PLATINUM by the Recording Industry Association of America last month for exceeding 1 million units sold, has also cracked the Top 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart, making it their biggest single since 2006's breakout “I Write Sins Not Tragedies.”

Composer Ramin Djawadi Wins an Emmy for GAME OF THRONES

Celebrated Composer Ramin Djawadi won an Emmy® Award tonight for his iconic musical work on the television juggernaut Game of Thrones. Having composed for all seven seasons of the hit HBO series, Ramin's score for the penultimate season finale episode 'The Dragon and the Wolf' earned him the win in the category of Outstanding Music Composition For A Series Original Dramatic Score. Ramin was honored with dueling Emmy® nominations in the same category this year, also receiving a separate nomination for his music on the famed television show Westworld.
